Chapter 20

Recap: Calum got into his dream school, but doesn't want to go and stay with Dani and their baby. Dani doesn't want him to give up his dream cause of her and she wants him to go. So now Calum has to make the biggest decision if he should move to California or stay with his family.....

Calum's p.o.v:

After my conversation with Dani, I left. I told her I needed to think things over. What's surprised me was that she told me to go. I mean I want to go too, but don't want to abandon them. I don't know what to do and I don't have much time to decide. I walked into my apartment, set my keys down, taking my jacket off. I walked down the little hallway to the living to see something I wasn't expecting. Michael and Ashton were making out on the couch, they didn't notice I was home until I flipped the switch and the lights came on and the jumped apart looking at me widen eyes.

"Calum, what are you doing here?" Ashton asked, trying to make this less awkward.

"I live here, the question is what's going on with you two?" I asked, looking at both of them.

"Um we're gay" Ashton said nervously, scratching the back of his neck.

"I gathered that, but why didn't you tell me. We're best friends" I said, I walking over and sat on the chair next to the couch.

"I was scared"

"Of what? I wouldn't stopping being friends with you just cause you're into guys" I chuckled "Now tell me, how long have you two been together"

"Almost 3 months now" Ashton smiled, taking Michael's hand.

I nodded. "Have you told anyone else?" Please tell I'm not the only one who didn't know.

"Dani and Luke know. I told them when prom was coming and they wanted to know who I was going with" Michael said. Ugh, Prom. I remember now, the three of us didn't have dates so we went together. I didn't want to go with anyone, but Dani. But her and Luke told each other a long time ago they would go together and they didn't want to break it. Dani and I weren't dating until after graduation so she wasn't my girlfriend yet, just the mother of my child. "I told them not to tell anyone"

"Did you tell them too, Ash?" I asked, feeling like I don't even know my best friend any more.

"No, you're the only one besides our families who knows were dating. They only know about Michael"

"Well, I'm happy for you two. Just next time warn me, when you're going to be having alone time together or it just going to be awkward" I said, walking into the kitchen to get something to eat. I didn't eat anything at Dani's.

"Or text us when you're coming home early" Michael said, coming into the kitchen behind Ashton.

"I'll be gone anyway, and this place will be all yours" I said, as started making a sandwich.

"Okay, now lets get serious. Have you told Dani about California" Ash asked me. I looked over at him, then back at my food and I nodded.

"Why do you think I'm home early?" I said.

"So it didn't go so well"

"I don't even know how it went. She's want me to go, but now I don't want to go. I want to stay and be with her. I just don't know what to do" I put my head in my hands and started tugging my hair.

"Dani told you to go? Dude! Do you realize what this means? She wants you to get out of here, do what you want. Dani wants what best for you and that means going to your dream school and making it big. She not a selfish girl, she's not going to tell you stay"

"But what if I don't want too. What if I do stay or she comes with me or something that works for both of us. Don't want to lose her went I just got her" I started crying.

"Listen to me. It's either your dream school or your dream girl. You can't have both. You have until the end of this week to decide remember. You don't have that much time" Ashton and Michael left me alone to think.

"But what if I could have both" I said to myself. I grabbed my phone and sandwich and headed for my room.

*2 Weeks Later*

I just got my letters in the mail this morning and I was on my way to Dani's. Literally, soon as I open them I sped all the way to her house. Soon as I got there, I rang the doorbell repeatedly, until a hand stopped me.

"Calum, you realized you only have to ring it once" Dani said, pulling me inside. "So what brings you here, beside to break my doorbell?" She asked.

"Read this" I hand her one of the letters. She looked at me confused before reading it. She soon looked disappointed.

"You declined them, but why? This was your dream" She looked at me sad.

"Why go to a school I only got in for, for a sport I play for fun, then to stay here and take care of my family"

"Cal" Her eyes started to look glassy. Why is she cry? I didn't mean to upset her. I started to panic, what did I do? "Calum calm down"

"But I made you cry" I said.

She cupped my face. "No you didn't, it's mood swings it happens. You're lucky I didn't get angry" then she wrapped her arms around me pressing her lips to mine. I pulled her closer to me. "But what school are you going to go to then"

I pulled away from her and handed her the other letter. "This one" I smiled.

"Seriously" She smiled back.

"Only 30 minutes away from here. Which means I don't have to dorm, I'll be right here with you and this little guy" I told her, tickling her stomach a little making her giggle.

"Almost 3 more months. Have you thought of any names yet?"

"A few, but I'm still thinking"

"Same, we still have to make up the baby's room. You know that right"

"We should start now, when school start we'll be too busy" I said, she grabbed her bag and followed me to my car, off to the baby store.
