Chapter 14

Dani's p.o.v:

I ran to an empty staircase. It seem like that all I run to, when in the school trying to get away from people. I wasn't crying, I just felt hurt. Like my heart was ripped out of my chest. Someone I could trust my life with and lost it in one night.

"Dani?" I turned to my head to the side and saw Calum coming my way. He sat down next to me. "Are you okay?" Putting one of his hands on my knee. I looked down at it and saw it was red and busied.

"What happen to your hand?" I asked, looking back up at him. Please, tell he didn't do what I think he did. I know I'm mad at Luke, but I still care about him and I don't want him hurt.

"I uh punched a locker. I think I broke it, hurts really badly" He said looking at and trying to close it, but hissed in pain as he does.

"I should take you to the nurse. You should have it checked out" I told him.

"No, I'll be fine" He tried to convince me.

"Cal, please" I begged "my mom and your dad will see your hand. I bet they'll say the same thing"

"Fine, whatever makes you happy" I helped him stand up. He followed me to the nurse's office. He was right, he did break it. We got to leave school early and had to meet our parents at the hospital.

"You know how to drive right?" He asked me as we walked to his car.

"Yeah" I do, I just don't have a car.

"Here" Handed me his keys "I don't think I could drive, with my hand like this"

The ride to the hospital was fast. Calum's dad was there, when we got in. "Why was I told to come to the hospital? What happen?" So many questions came towards us from his dad. Calum just held up his hand tha- I'm not even going to describe this, I couldn't even look at it now. David told me to go home, he'll take care of Calum from here, and he'll see me when they get back.

I got home, saw my mom come out of the kitchen. "So what happen?"

"Why weren't you there?" I asked ignoring her question.

"Cause David said-"

"Still you should have been there. He's going to be your son in 3 months. Even if David said he would go, you should have went too" I told her. She didn't say anything, just turn her back to me and walked away. I shook my head and went to my room. I place my backpack next to door. When I looked up I almost jumped out of my skin. "What are you doing here?!"

"I want to talk to you" He said standing up from my bed.

"Well, I don't. You hurt me, Luke" I couldn't even look up at him.

"You don't think you hurt me. I know how you feel. I was angry, hurt, jealous. I know he kissed you first, but you kissed him back. I had so many mixed emotions, I just thought if you felt what I felt something would happen. You leaving me was something I didn't expect to happen. I never meant to hurt you. I'm an idiot for what I did. I just want you to forgive me. I can't lose you Dan, you're the only thing I'm living for. I can't live without you" By this point he fell back on my bed and was crying his eyes out. I knew what he meant by everything. That was over 4 years ago.

~Flashback~

I just got a strange text from Luke. So I when to his house. I don't not why, but I had a bad feeling about this and he wasn't answering his phone. "Hey, Luke? Why did yo- Luke!" I heard crying coming from his bathroom and ran inside. He was floor crawled up into a ball. I could see the blade in his hand, luckily he didn't do anything...yet that is. "Luke, are you okay, what's going on?" I was crying too. I've never seen my best friend like this. I was so scared. I had no idea what to do.
