Barely Breathing

chapter 40

Today was the day Reece and I were leaving to go to Perth and I don’t think I have ever been so excited about anything, I couldn’t wait to see my family and friends but most of all I was excited for them to meet Reece, they had all heard so much about him I knew they would be excited too. The past week had been full on, Reece had interviews almost everyday and when he wasn’t in an interview he was finalizing the album so we hadn’t spent much time together in the past week so I as also looking forward to spending some time with him.

FLASHBACK

I came home from Reece’s place because he had to cohost some radio show so I was excited to have a veg night to catch up on all my shows and veg out. As I walked through the door I saw Marcus and his girlfriend belle sitting on the couch, Marcus looked uneasy, like he had something to say and he was nervous about it. As soon as he saw me he stood up and plastered a nervous smile on his face, seconds later belle stood up too and grabbed his hand. I knew he had something he wanted to say to me.. Marcus didn’t have much of a poker face.

“Taylor your home” he said in a shaky voice all of sudden nerves over took me and I had a feeling something bad was in my future

“Yeah…. what’s up why are you acting so weird” I said trying to suss the both of them out

“We have some news” belle said rubbing Marcus’s arm in a comforting way

“Oh okay what is it,” I said giving him a weird look

He took a deep breathe “well… as you know belle and I have been together for quite some time now and I’m not getting any younger so tonight I asked her to move in with us” he said taking a huge sigh once he had finished

“Oh wow” was all I could get out, this was very sudden to be honest I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, obviously he loves her but this would be weird for me, I hardly new her and all of a sudden I would be living with her however I knew I had to bite my tongue and just act happy for them, because this was a big step and I knew It wouldn’t have been easy for him.

“So what do you think?” he asked obviously worried because I hadn’t said anything in about 2 minutes

“That is so great! How exciting for the two of you” I said plastering on a smile

He came straight over and gave me a huge bear hug and whispered in my ear “thank you tay I love you” I whispered ‘I love you too” back and then he let go

“Well I better leave you two alone I need a shower!” I said turning around a making a b line straight to my room I shut the door and sighed and pulled out me phone, suddenly I wasn’t feeling like a night In, I was feeling like loading my boyfriend up on my feeling I sent Reece a text

Can you please come get me on your way home; I don’t feel like staying here anymore xx

He replied almost instantly

Yes off course is everything ok? Xxx

I smiled at his caring nature

I think so… what time will you be here? X

Just finishing up now ill be there in 45 

Love you

I turned on the radio to the station he was on because I wanted to hear his voice, he was co hosting with smallzy and smallzy had just picked up on how he was distracted by texting… obviously me because a few seconds later I got a text

Love you too baby xxx

“Is that the mrs?” smallzy asked Reece

“Sure is,” he said in a sweet tone
