Chapter 7
I woke up and surprisingly had an amazing sleep, I sat up and looked around at the unfamiliar environment wondering where the hell I was. That was when the events of last night hit me, my heart sunk and my stomach flipped when I realized how I had left things with Marcus. I knew I had to go home and sort it out as soon as possible. I got out of this amazingly comfortable bed and made my way to the lounge room where Reece was sleeping last night, I felt extremely bad for kicking him out of his own bed but eh it was the past and I’m sure he didn’t mind.
Reece was up making what I assume is breakfast and looked over at me.
“Morning sleepy head! How’d you sleep?” he said barely taking his focus of his cooking.
“Morning! Yeah I slept like a baby! How was your sleep? Sorry you had to sleep on the couch it would just be a tad weird sleeping in the same bed after…. You know…” I said sitting on the couch thinking about what we did on there last night and shifting to the other one.
He laughed at me “Yeah I slept well thanks, I’m making some bacon and eggs, you keen?”
“Wow I should stay here more often!” I joked.
“With a zesty performance like last night you are welcome back any time” he winked at me.
“Aaaaand Reece is back, look I’m gonna go talk to Marcus, I think I may have over reacted a little” I said getting up and collecting my items of clothing from the floor.
“Come on don’t be like that. Have some breaky and then you can go talk to him” he said dishing up the food. I was starving so it took little persuasion to make me stay. I sat at the table and he brought the food over along with a coffee.
“This will help with your hangover” he said placing it down in front of me and then sitting down.
“I don’t actually have one!” I laughed, there’s a first for everything.
We sat in silence eating. It was actually pretty good. I had a little giggle at myself because I was scared of Reece’s cooking I’m not going to lie. He gave me a confused look but I just shrugged him off. Once I was done I excused myself and got changed back into my clothes from last night, I was horrified looking in the mirror to see my makeup all smudged and I was looking like Alice cooper. I washed it off and pulled my hair to the side. I looked like a train wreck but I was just going home so it didn’t really matter. I walked out of the bathroom to where Reece was.
“So thanks for being there last night, and letting me crash. I owe you but I’ll see you later at that rehearsal thing yeah?” I said trying to find my phone.
“No problems sweetheart, anytime and thanks for the sex…was magical” he sheepishly smiled at me.
“Yeah alright cya later” I said walking out the door. I checked my phone and I had 23 missed calls from Marcus and 8 texts, oooh shit I’m in trouble. My stomach flipped with the thought of the confrontation but I just had to tell him I was overreacting and pray he doesn’t ask questions about where I was last night.
I got home and took a deep breath before opening the door. Marcus was sitting on the couch, phone in hand when mine started ringing.
“Ughh hi?” I said nervously closing the door.
“Hi? Really Taylor hi? Where the hell have you been! I have been going crazy worrying about you! I thought you died or got raped or something!” he yelled at me. My mind went back to last night.
“I’m sorry Marcus! But I told you I was staying at a friends and that’s what I did! I’m fine I promise, I’m sorry about last night! I was overreacting you were just trying to help and I love you for that” I said back to him.
