I woke to my alarm at 7pm feeling even more tired then when I went to sleep but I wasn’t going to miss out on a top night just because I was a tad fatigued. I went out to the kitchen and made myself a huge cup of coffee hoping the caffeine would spark some energy in me. Marcus was nowhere to be found so I just went back to my room and started to get ready for what I hoped would be a good night.
I jumped in the shower hoping that would refresh me and it helped a little. I spent ages on my hair and makeup getting it just right, I wanted to make a good first impression in the city hoping this would become a regular thing. Then I got changed into my outfit for the nighthttp://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=52818335 , added some jewelry, made the final touches to my outfit, got all my shit together, found a matching clutch and made my way down to the living room and plonked myself down on the couch.
“Maaarcuuuusss! I’m reaaady!” I screamed hoping he would hear me. Just seconds later he comes out looking pretty spunky, in a totally non-weird way considering we are cousins and all.
“Who are you trying to impress?” I asked smugly eyeing him up and down. I may have waggled my eyebrows a bit to make him feel uncomfortable for once instead of it being the other way around.
“Oh you never mind, your looking pretty flash yourself my little cousin is growing up!” he said with a nostalgic tone.
“Oh shut up lets goo!!” I grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door. We made our way to this place called ‘World Bar’ which Marcus had been raving about so my expectations where pretty high. It wasn’t far from our apartment so we were there within like a 10 minute stroll. There was a huge line ‘greaaaat’ I thought to myself. My feet were gonna be killing me before we even went in, just what we need, we wont get in till like 10:30. I went and stood at the end of line but Marcus grabbed my hand and pulled me to the front of the line.
“Ummmmm why are pushing in buddy?” I asked him confused.
“I know the guy at the front, we can get in straight away” Marcus said, and just like that we were in the club. It was pretty vibing, the atmosphere was like nothing I have ever experienced before. The clubs in Sydney were very different to the ones in Perth.
We went straight up to one of the 4 bars in the club and Marcus ordered some drinks while I found us a spot for us to sit. I was very lucky when I spotted a couple getting up from one of the booths at the back and I quickly snagged it before the other chick that was eyeing it. I smiled proudly to myself and sat down waiting for Marcus to come back with my raspberry vodka. Marcus had organized for us to meet up with some of his friends that he works with. He said that one of them was my age, (which must have meant that he had a fakie as well?) and that we should get along pretty well, so I was excited to meet some people that lived in Sydney and hopefully make some friends.
Marcus came over with our drinks and had a guilty look covering his face
“What? Why do you look so guilty dude?” I asked curiously.
“Uhhh, this is kind of awkward and I’m reaallly sorry to do this to you Tay but my mate just called me and he needs me to fill in for his guitarist. I’m so sorry Tay. My friends will be here any minute though so I will get them to keep an eye out for you ok?” He said to me with a pained expression. To be honest, I think he was more upset about missing out on a chance to get drunk and party the night away then leaving his cousin.
“Yea no worries buddy. You will rock it have fun! Loovveee ya” I said to him.
“Alrighty, well I’ll see you later. Don’t wait up for me. Not sure when I’ll be done. Sorry again Tay!” he said.
“Just go you noob! I will be fine!! I’m not socially retarded you know byeeeee” I said to him with a slight wave of my fingers. He gave me a smile and walked off out of the club. On the bright side, I now had two drinks sitting in front of me instead of the one.
