"Where is Parker?" I groaned as I tired to get the attention of the twenty people running around behind the mall, where we were suppose to meet up. "I swear to god, I'm going to murder him if he doesn't show up to help me soon."

This was all overwhelming me, and I am not capable of yelling that loud to get the attention of everyone to shut up and listen!

"Hey!" I heard behind me. "Listen to the girl, would ya?" It was a man with brown hair and a green sweater. I had no idea who the guy was, that was until Parker walked in behind him.

Parker ran up beside me. "Sorry I'm late. Had to pick my buddy up from the airport." He gestured to the man standing behind us.

"You so owe me." I told him.

"Note taken." He laughed. He clapped his hands together and looked at the group. "Now, we are all here for the same reason." Parker began by saying.

"Is there gonna be free pizza?" Some random person yelled.

"Well, only if we're able to get this done correctly, and by the said date, and save the mall!" Parker smiled and got a few cheers back. "Now, let's discuss the work."

A few groans came from. "Hey! Listen up! You signed up for this, and you knew that that meant work. So, if you are too lazy to get your butts up and help your community, then I suggest you leave."

And I sadly say, we lost around five people. Of course, lazy butts.

Parker sighed and sent me a smile. He began to go over the plans.

"We've okay got a limited amount of time. And we're going to need all of you to contribute. You'll only have to spend a couple dollars, and if we save the mall, then I will personally repay you with a pizza party. Now, let's talk about decorations." He said. He was a good people leader, and obviously a good public speaker. It made me wonder about what his job was, and how he got so good at these things.

"I'm Parker, and this is Ali. We're in charge, but that doesn't mean we aren't going to help. We have our own things to take care of for part of this team." Parker explained. "We're going to need a lot of fake snow for our idea. Ali, did you bring the blue prints?" He asked.

I nodded and picked them up off the ground. Parker helped me hold up the big piece of paper, but decided to get his "buddy" to help hold it, so he could explain.

"We're thinking, for right around the main entrance, we get an awning painted like a candy cane. Around each store front, use the Christmas lights we found in the storage room. There is a lot of those, so we will definitely have enough. A lot of fake snow around pillars and where the Santa will be. Ali's on task for finding us a Santa, and I'll be on storage duty. Those are the few things we'll start with today, and you all can submit some ideas if you any. We might need them." Parker said. "Now, if you would follow me to the storage room."

Parker turned to me. "You can stay here, talk to Jordan over there, he's got some good ideas." And he led the rest of the group into the mall and to the storage room.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to Parker's friend. "Hi! I'm Jordan." He introduced himself.

"Aka the reason Parker was late, I assume?" I cocked an eyebrow and stuck out my hand for him to shake. "I'm Ali."

"I know." Jordan laughed. "He was freaking out all morning that you were gonna kill him for being late." He said. "He makes a big deal out of first impressions."

"Considering that yesterday he was late, and was late today, yeah, his first impression is that he is not good with time." I smiled.

Jordan shook his head. "Nope."

"Parker said you had some ideas?" I started a new conversation.

Jordan smiled and nodded a bit. "Yeah, I was thinking, maybe I could do some promo videos for you guys? Like, I'm pretty good with videos and editing, maybe let me advertise for you?" He asked.

"That sounds cool. Details later?"

He nodded. "Also, I think we're gonna need some paint. Lucky for you, I know someone who can hook me up with some free paint." Jordan winked.

"Sounds good. Where in the world am I gonna find a Sant-" I was cut off.

"Here's a number. Call it tonight and see if you can book one, and some elves, until December twenty-fourth." Jordan handed me a sheet of paper with a number on it.

I laughed. "Did you know exactly what I was going to say?"

"Maybe. But come on, let's get to the paint store before it gets too late." Jordan smiled and walked out to my car. He asked if he could drive to the store, which I said yes to. First impressions are everything.
