Hey girlfriend, I'm picking you up for a surprise date. Ten minutes. My phone read off.

Sounds good boyfriend. I replied.

I smiled and went into the bathroom to make sure I looked okay. It was only about noon, so is to my best guess that we're going to lunch.

By now all of Parker's friends have gone back to their homes, and sometimes it feels a little lonely. But there's this little thing called skype, and texting. Plus, I've still got Lainey, Carly, and most of all, Parker.

There was a knock at my apartment ten minutes after I had gotten a text. I opened the door and Parker was smiling like a little kid. He then gave me a kiss on the cheek and I smiled back. "Ready to go?" He asked.

I nodded and locked my apartment. "Where to?"

"Lunch." He smiled.

"Sounds perfect!" I cheered.

He laughed a bit and once we got down to his car he opened the car door for me.

We sang along loudly to the songs being played by my fathers radio station. That was, before my phone started ringing.

"Shush." I told Parker and he turned down the radio. "Hello?" I said.

"Hello, is this Ali James?" A man on the phone asked.

"Yep, that's me." I clarified.

"It's a pleasure to talk to you Ali, I'm Trey Cooper. I'd like to talk to you about a job." He said.

My eyes widened. "Y-yes?"

"I saw your work at the mall and stopped by your mothers shop, I saw other work you have done. I want you to be a designer for me." He told me.

"Wait, like an actual designer? Like I get to decorate rooms? You want me to work for you?" I tried to wrap my head around this.

"Exactly. I want you, Ali James, to design for me. Would you be interested in coming in sometime to talk to me about this job?" He asked.

"Of course! Name a day." I told him, a huge smile across my face.

"Monday, at noon?" He asked.

"I'll have to check my schedule but it will probably be fine. Just call you back on this number?" I asked.

"Yes, this number is good." Trey said.

"Thank you so much for calling!" I told him.

"I hope you're interested. See you around, hopefully." Trey finished and I said a goodbye, and the call ended.

"What was that about?" Parker asked.

"I just got offered a job!" I squealed.

A smile grew on Parker's face. "Ali! That's amazing!"

"I'm so excited." I said. It's like life was falling into place. My dad was better and back at the studio, mom reopened her store, I have Parker and a bunch of new friends, and I just got offered a job.

Parker laughed. "Get out of the car you crazy monkey. We're eating lunch." He smiled.

I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. I then realized we had gone to one of our favorite restaurants, that we haven't actually been to in a while. "I thought we were just going to a diner?"

"Let's celebrate." Parker smiled.

I laughed a bit. "Parker Games, such a gentleman." I said when he held the door.

We were seated and started talking about random things. Then, at the same time, our phones went off. "Okay when they both go off it means something. Check it." I smiled.

We pulled out phones over to us and I opened up email to see one from the happy couple.

YELLO was the title.

Ryan here. So, as you all may know, Jessie and I are now engaged. And you all may also know that Jessie likes to get things done quick. Not like we're having the wedding tomorrow. We've got some information and wanted me to send out what we've got.

Location: we haven't selected a church yet but we're pretty sure it's going to be in LA, as we both love it there.
When: most likely July 28th. Jessie and I liked that day and we gotta make sure we can actually get it so.
Why: (Jessie made me put this in) because marriage that's why.

Everything is TBD so keep an eye out for updates, we just wanted to make sure you guys knew a little ahead of time.

Stay in contact everyone,
JESSIE AND RYAN SOON TO BE THE BLYSTONES!

I laughed at the message. "I guess this is a good time to ask." Parker said to me.

"Ask what?"

"Ali James, will you be an amazing person and accompany me as my date to Jessie and Ryan's wedding? Please? I don't want to take Jeffery. Last time he went to a wedding the cake fell out the window." Parker gave a cheesy smile.

I laughed a bit. "Sure Parker I'll be your date."

"YAY!" He said. We had a silence, another nice silence. These happen a lot between us, thinking silences.

But the silence was broken when Parker spoke something I thought he wouldn't be saying for a while. "Ali, I love you."
