Book Cover Tips

how to begin

Hey guys! This is my first tutorial type book, so bare with me please. I've been getting a lot of requests lately to make a book to explain what I do and how I do it, so why not? I think it'll be fun!

So first I'll start off with what you'll need. Some are free, some are not, but trust me, all of these apps are great and I wouldn't suggest them unless I knew otherwise.

i. Superimpose - for sure my favorite app created. It's all that I basically use to make my own covers. However, it costs like 99 cents in the app store, but I'm sure there's a way to download it free somehow. Trust me, it's worth the money.

ii. Pics Art - not my favorite app of all time, but it's a good alternative for Superimpose. It's tougher to use and doesn't have as many effects, but still cool. It's free also.

iii. Phonto - literally the best font app out there. You can use the fonts on the app or you can download them straight off of the internet to use. Dafont.com is the best website for this, but the app is so helpful. This app is also free.

iv. PS Touch - this app is no longer in the app store, but I found a way to get it a long time ago and I'm working on figuring it out again. I'll let you guys know when I remember, but until then, I'll lay off from using this app for this book. I'm still getting familiar with it, but if you guys already have this app, it will prove very useful.

iiv. instagram - i'm sure most of you have this app already, but it is literally so helpful. There are great accounts you can follow on there for help, and I'll give you a list of a few later in this book.

So that's about all you'll need, other than your pictures you plan to use of course. One good tip for finding good quality photos is to search "____ screen caps" or you can go to screencapped.net and there's literally every show imaginable on there to get screen caps from. It is a blessing.

The first few tips in this book will be simpler ones, but then I'll get more into depth with it. If you'd guys like, you can request a certain tutorial.
