Okay, so some of you guys really liked my newer covers (idek how because they're so sloppy wow) but I thought I'd try and help you guys make your own. Now this is a little bit more advanced depending on what effect you're going for, so I'll start basic first. Just remember to ask questions whenever you need help.
Okay so how I made the ones for GOF, Burning Wounds, and Afterlife are the simplest. I used an app called Illustrator (but you guys can use line brush) and superimpose, along with Phonto.
i. First I opened a white background in Superimpose, along with the photo that I wanted. Try and pick a picture of the person that would be easy to mask out, along with the hair.
ii. Erase the face of the person. After you do this, save the image as a PNG.
iii. Open Illustrator or Line Brush. Color in the clothes of the person one solid color like I had done so. Don't do the hair or anything else. Just the clothes and the arms.
iv. Save and then open the image back in superimpose. Mask out around the person and then add it to a colored background of your choice. Then open it in Phonto and add your title and boom, you're done. The font I had used is called Maven Pro Medium.
Alright, so there's basically how you do those types of edits. You can basically do whatever edit you want and slap it onto a solid color and you get the same effect, so feel free to experiment for yourselves. I'd love to see what you guys come up with!
So I'll tell you guys how to do the edit like there is on Wolfskin. I had just found that image online, but I know a way how you guys can do it yourselves.
i. Get your picture and open it in Picsart.
ii. Click on FX effect > Artistic > Polygon
That's basically it. You can adjust the density and fade and other things like that as well, so it's pretty useful.
Like I had said earlier, feel free to ask questions. If you guys try this, please show me! I'd love to see how you guys do. If you come up with something on your own, I'd love to see also. Hope I helped you guys!
