Superimpose
i. Open template as the background and color you want to use as the foreground. Put it on multiply under the transform tab and then merge.
ii. Open first image for one of the boxes as the foreground and put it on screen. Place it over the black area and then use the rectangle crop under the mask tab. Merge and repeat this for all boxes. (Tip; make sure to see if you photos all match or have a color scheme before doing this, to make it look more eye appealing)
iii. When all boxes are done, open your PNG as the foreground and merge and save. Open the image in Phonto and add your text. I also erased the little area of Selena's foot in the example by going back in Superimpose and uploading the original photo w/o the text as the background and the one with the text as the foreground. Just use the mask tool to erase unwanted areas. I also added the glossy overlay, but that's optional.
Other Example
(I didn't finish this completely, but I wanted to show you guys that you can use PNG's of people standing as if they're "on" the text as well!)
ADD ONS
{ FONT : COUTURE BOLD }

this was totally inspired by a tumblr edit I found on @likeravens, but my screenshot that I used to look at doesn't show the person who actually made it. If you want to go find it, I'm sure it's not too far down on their blog. It's a Halsey edit.
So school started for me pretty much yesterday...I am already dying. Chemistry is kicking my ass, and it's only been the second day of school. FML
question; What is your favorite Lay's chip flavor?
