I had made this for someone awhile back, and I kinda found it on my imgur and was like "oooh I loved that cover!" and you guys seemed to as well so here's the tutorial on it!
i. Open a plain black image as the background and the PNG of your person as the foreground.
ii. Go to the mask tab and select the soft brush and turn the softness all of the way up. Then, brush around the bottom of your PNG to make it look like the person is fading into the background. Move it where you'd like on the cover (think about where you'll put the title as well) and then merge.
iii. Go to the chapter titled "15. Border" in this book and get the image above. Open that image as the foreground and follow the other steps in that chapter as well to get the border around it. Merge.
iv. Open the other image above as the foreground and select either screen or another one of your choice under the transform tab. I masked around the face claims' face a little to make it stand out more, but do whatever you'd like. Merge and save.
vi. Open the image in Phonto and add your title. I added another filter on my image above to make it a little darker, but do whatever you'd like. You're done!
Kinda time consuming, but turns out great in the end. After all, all editing takes lots of time, haha. Hope you guys like!
