Nothing Compares To A Quiet Evening Alone

After Mr. Nolan basically, bailing on me, exiling me from his office after 15 minutes, I walk to Joshs' car before getting tripped by Jesse Rutherford, sitting outside, smoking cigarettes with Matt (Matthew) Healy and Dallon Weekes.

"Watch where you're heading." Jesse smiles and smokes.

I continue to walk to Joshs' car.

I see Patrick, William, and Ryan talking to Josh and Jenna.

I walk slower, waiting for Patrick, William and Ryan to go away but unfortunately, Jenna notices me.

"Tyler. Come over here!"

Did she just quote Mortal Kombat?

"Okay." I mutter to myself and walk over to Josh and Jenna.

Josh leans over and whispers to me, "Why are you so early?"

"Mr. Nolan sort of ditched me."

Josh is the only one besides my family that knows that I have a counselor.

"We'll go out to eat.. I'll pay." He whispers.

I nod and he continues talking to Patrick, William and Ryan.

"Aren't you Tyler? Alex said you were writing in 'The Devils' Alphabet.'" William asks me.

"Well, screw Alex." Jenna says.

"I've never seen you here so who am I to take your-She's right, screw him." Patrick interrupts William.

"Thank you." I say to both Jenna and Patrick.

"No problem, Tyler. Ya know, I've seen you a lot in these past school years and I've only just noticed you getting picked on since last year."

"I've been getting picked on for years on end." I state.

"I know, I feel so bad for asking this just now."

"You should feel bad." Like I said, I DO make a big deal out of everything.

"I know but.. I was wondering if you ever wanted to hang out sometime."

"When? Where?"

"Well, Ryan and I were going to go on a drive through the town in a few weeks so we were wondering if you wanted to go.. Jenna or Josh can go with you too."

"Why can't both of them come with me?"

"It'd be too crowded in the car." Ryan says.

"Jenna can go." Josh says.

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine.. Maybe, I'll go get tacos from Taco Bell."

"Uh.. Sure?" I say as if it was a question.

"Good! Good, it's be really cool to know you and Jenna more!"

"What will William be doing?"

"He's having one of his friends, Brendon coming over to hang out."

"Oh.."

"Well, we'll talk to you more on the drive."

"Okay."

Patrick, William, Ryan say bye.

I think I might be making more friends, this is the best first day ever!

Josh, Jenna and I went to Taco Bell, ate some tacos and all of us went home individually. I finally found out who Josh has been talking to, her name is Ashley Frangipane but she calls herself, 'Halsey.'

As cool as it is to finally get some new friends, I prefer staying at home than going out on a drive because nothing is better than a quiet evening alone but maybe, that's just me.
