On Monday, I had my own personal stalker.

I think you know who it was.

“Holden! Would you stop it?” I yelled.

Every time someone would talk to me, boy or girl, Holden would interrupt and say something random to scare them off, like, “I hear voices in my head. Do you hear them too?” or “I had Daddy for dinner last night. Mommy said that it was okay.” The last one earned him a trip to the guidance office.

He smiled and said, “Come on, Ollie, you love me.”

I stopped short and tugged on his lip ring. He looked at me as if I had insulted his entire family line.

“I do not. And I still never gave you permission to use my name.”

Holden smirked. “’Kay… Bubblebutt.”

“That one too!”

“Hey, Ollie!” I turned around to see Tori running towards me, her red hair flying behind her.

“Yes?”

“I have a question for you. Hi, Holden.”

Holden smiled in response. I waited for the question.

“Well?”

Tori looked at me expectantly. “Yes?”

I gave her a look of disbelief. “You had a question?”

Realization dawned on her and she said, “Can you help me with my history project?”

“Sure. When’s it due?”

“Tomorrow.”

Holden snickered at my facial expression. I shot him a glare and looked at Tori.

“What’s it about?”

“Um… I think it’s about the Renaissance.”

“You think? What does the project have to be?”

“A landscape type thing.”

“And… we have to do this… in one night.” I stated.

Tori smiled and nodded. “Yep!”

I sighed and rubbed my forehead.

“Please? You’re my best friend, and this is what best friends do!”

“Yeah, Ollie!” Holden said, mocking Tori, “This is what best friends do! I can help too!”

I pointed at him for using my name, while Tori squealed and hit Holden on the chest. “You will?” She gasped and bent down a little as if she was telling us a secret. “It could be, like, a party,” she whispered.

Holden copied her movements and whispered, “Yeah, it could be.”

I ignored Holden and said, “Yes, Tori, I’ll help you.”

The five minute bell rang and Holden and I walked to our class.

Well, I guess I walked to class and Holden kind of followed. When we got to history, Ms. Henry was dressed like an Indian. Or Native American, whatever.

The bell rang soon after and Ms. Henry began to do war cries. This lady is weird.

All throughout class, Holden bothered me. He would pass me notes and tap my shoulder.

I can’t wait for the end of the day.
