When I had gotten home from the mall, I was more than angry. Who did that guy think he was?
I stormed up the stairs and slammed the door, alerting my dog who sleeps on my bed. She came up to me and licked my hand.
"Hi Mickey!"
I rubbed her belly when she flipped on her back and then she turned back around, putting her butt in the air. She ran around me to the door and I opened it, closing it after she left because I didn't feel like chasing her.
I flipped down on my bed and thought about the guy. He was taller than me, but then again most people are. Standing at five foot three didn't give me much leverage on people. His hair was short but shaggy, like a lot of guys. And his crystal blue eyes were to die for. Blue and green eyes were my weakness. Now that I think about it, he's kinda cute. Okay... more than cute.
But he seems like a jerk and I don't like jerks.
I don't even know why I'm dwelling on him; it's not like I'll ever see him again.
"Ollie Ollie oxen free!"
"In here, Tori," I yelled to my best friend.
Victoria Brash has been my best friend since we were in second grade. She came up with saying "Ollie Ollie oxen free" when she needs to find me because when we were younger, she used to get panic attacks a lot. She wouldn't let anyone else near her and would call for me. I always thought it was corny, but I got used to it as I got older and anyone who hears it thinks it's cute.
"How's it goin', best friend o' mine?" Tori flopped on my bed and put her hands behind her head.
"I met a jerk today."
"Ooh! Was he cute?"
Boy obsessed.
If that term was in the dictionary, you'd see Tori's picture next to it.
I sighed. "Better than cute. He was h-o-t."
"Was he hot enough to spell it with two t's?"
I laughed. "No one is ever that hot."
"So how'd you meet him?"
"I crashed into him."
"Like... with a car?"
I nodded.
"Are you okay? I mean, you seem fine, but you can never be sure these days, and I read somewhere that people can go sleep and just-"
"Tori!"
She seemed to wake up and looked at me with an inquiring face.
"Yes, milady?"
"Shush."
She blushed and bowed her head. "Sorry."
My mom called up to us. "Olive, is Tori going to stay for dinner?"
Tori nodded.
"Yeah, mom."
"Okay, so what's this hot jerk look like?"
I sat down and immediately went into dream mode.
"He has the most gorgeous eyes... and he was so tall!"
Tori giggled.
"But he told me to keep the driving to men," I said, remembering what he had told me.
Tori gasped. "What did you say back?"
"Nothing; he left before I could say anything."
Just then, the bell rang, and Tori and I jumped up to get the door.'as we bounded down the steps. I yelled, "Got it!"
When I opened the door, I saw a little girl wearing a thin sweater with an iCarly shirt and light colored pants.
"Hi, my name is Amy and my ball fell in your backyard. Can me and my brother go get it?"
"My brother and I, Amy," a deeper voice said.
When the body who belonged to the voice came to my doorstep, I gasped.
"It's you!"
