Chapter 17

Gala fell out of bed. Literally. She hauled herself onto her hooves before combing her mane and tail so it looked decent.

"Morning Gala," Yawned Moonstone from the other side of the bedroom.

"Morning.." Gala replied, folding her bedsheets.

"We have our first lesson today!" Moonstone chimed, brighting Gala's dull spirit.

After a hasty breakfast, catching up with Honey and finding out how annoying Frost was, the three friends made their way to their first lesson.

"Room 21.." Gala muttered, levitating her schedule in front of her. "Science."

They seated themselves on a table prior to arriving at the lesson. Then a mint green unicorn with a green and white mane strolled in.

"Good morning, everypony, and welcome to science!" The unicorn began, beaming at the class.
"I am Professor Heartstrings, and I specialise in the anatomy of humans. Of course, I won't teach you that now."

"Anyway," Professer Heartstrings continued. " Let's go around the classroom and introduce ourselves. Let's start!"

A white alicorn with a deep orange and red mane started.
"Hi! My name is Princess Sunburst. I am the daughter of Princess Celestia."

Next was a blue unicorn with a light pink mane.
"I am Fancy Frost, and my father is Fancy Pants, the Canterlot ambassador."

Honeycomb scowled at the unicorn, muttering. " She's in Sun house and yet I still have to share a dorm with her..."

Then came a peach unicorn with a blood red mane.
"I am Princess Royal Blood. My father is Prince Blueblood...nephew of Princess Celestia."

Next; Moonstone. "Um...I'm Princess Moonstone, daughter of Princess Luna.."

"Ugh...shouldn't you be on the moon already?" Came a snide remark from Gold Class, daughter of Hoity Toity. Several other ponies giggled and Moonstone felt rage bubble up inside her.

"I'm Princess Honeycomb!" Honey began, distracting the others from her embarrassed friend. " I am Princess of the Changlings!"

"Oh! No wonder she looks so freakish!" Royal Blood shrieked. A chorus of screams and giggles echoed in Honey's ears, making her cheeks turn a bright red.

Gala started her introduction. She was going to stand up for her friends.

"I am Princess Galaxy Sparkle, daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Honeycomb and Moonstone are my friends and I will not tolerate you making fun of them!"

Gala flew up to the ceiling, casting a spell to create a ball of pure friendship.
"How dare you judge someone before you even know them. This ball.." Gala signalled to the essence of friendship, "..is the pure friendship these two ponies have shown me over the course of one day of knowing each other. They are not their parents, so you should stop making assumptions!"

The ball disappeared and Gala floated to the ground.

"Thanks.." Murmured Honey and Moonstone in turn.

"Well..let's get to the lesson!" Prof. Heartstrings chuckled, Gala's mind wondering back to home. If only she wasn't here, she would be with her best friends. Yes, Moonstone and Honey were her friends, but her best friends, the ponies who had a special connection with her, are in Ponyville.
