Dearest Gala,
I must ask you to unfriend the changling princess. Changlings are terrifying creatures that feed on love and friendship. She could be feeding on you!
I know that you will be reluctant to do this, but it's for your own safety.
Lots of love,
Mum.Gala was awestruck. Her kind mother just told her to not make new friends? Now that was just annoying.
It was lunchtime, and everypony was seated in their friendship groups. Gala was sitting with Honey and Moonstone, writing furiously with a determined glint in her eyes.
Moonstone was chewing a grass and daisy sandwich, washing it all down with a glass of apple juice.
Honey, on the other hoof, was eating chocolate-dipped strawberries and a vanilla milkshake. As long as she ate sweet food, she would be able to satisfy her hunger. She was trying so hard not to be attracted to all the friendship drifting in the air, settling on her tounge whenever she opened her mouth to take a bite.
Her mother's words echoed in her ears.
"Remember, feed off as much friendship as you want, because that is the reason your going, right? You're not going to make friends, are you? "Honey shuddered at her mother's harsh words. Then the scornful looks on the other mares faces bubbled to the surface of her mind.
"No wonder she looks so FREAKISH!"
"STOP IT!" Yelled Honey, stomping her hooves on the table. Everypony turned to her. Most were sniggering and Magic Trick, Trixie's daughter, shouted: "What a loser!"
Honey felt her cheeks burn. Gala looked up and stared disapprovingly at everypony who was laughing.
Honey sighed and slunk away, hiding behind her mane. Meanwhile, Gala sent her letter to her mother via object teleportation, before rushing out to comfort her friend.
