Chapter 9 - I Don’t Wish To Threaten You
Moon had used the tunnels to sneak back to Victor’s, it opened up in the grounds of his home. That meant his little squad wouldn’t find him. She made him climb up the side of the building just to prove how bad his security was. Once they reached his balcony she let him rest, it was hard on someone who hadn’t done what they had been doing as often as she had. The stuff Luke had given her had done an amazing job of keeping her awake.
“Moon?” She turned to look at Victor who had finally managed to breathe normally, at last. “You will come in, won’t you.”
Moon felt butterflies in her stomach. Fear! She had only meant to explain but it had already gone too far. Way too far. She had started it at times but she knew she shouldn’t have done it. But she couldn’t stop it once it started, it was like a slippery slope once she started she couldn’t halt to a stop an climb back.
“If I do, you will never tell anyone about tonight.” It would ensure that her father wouldn’t hear what happened that night and by the time it got to him it wouldn’t be very useful if she played her cards right. To her surprise, he laughed. Her eyes narrowed at him, that wasn’t right. “What?”
“I thought you were going to ask something far worse.” He came closer to snag her waist. She leaped of his reach, standing dangerously close the edge.
“Don’t do that again.” She snapped, turning on her heels she made to jump off the balcony.
Moon felt a force pulling her back, sending her light weight across the balcony floor. She could feel new bruises on her body. The same force spun her around, bruising pain soared up her back. Victor held her own, he had caught her well, all four limbs were pinned down.
“Just let me talk,” His voice was low and harsh her only reaction was to stare angrily at him. “I know that you never want to do what we did tonight ever again but we are, want to tell you why?”
“Because you live in a bloody dream world you bastard,” She hissed.”
Victor chuckled, “I think that would be you Moon. I just want you to come inside for ten minutes.” Moon stared back with a fierce glare. “Please.” He said softer, Moon didn’t respond, Victor sighed letting go of Moon to stand up. He gestured to the hand rail, “Or just go.” He felt defeated.
Moon started laughing; her efforts to stay quiet were completely gone to waste. Victor could feel a bubble inside him burst sending him into a state of laughter. Moon stood looping her arms around Victor’s neck as she pulled his head closer to hers laying her cheek against his, feeling the soft warmth of it.
“I don’t care if you’re a bastard, Victor, I just wish we could be someone else.” She whispered in his ear,
His lips pressed against hers, the longing in the kiss. It was rough with the need to feel her lips against hers. To taste her. She was like a drug to him, he needed her there. And he knew he finally had her.
Victor had been surprised about how Moon had kissed back. When they had stopped she had taken his hand and half pulled, half guided him. Once Victor had realised that it was to his room that she intended to take him, he had stopped. He had wanted to say something to stop her but his mouth had become dry.
