30 Days with Genevieve
Chapter 6
Day 5:
I woke up the next day feeling terrible. Somehow, I felt guilty for what happened at the party. Maybe it was not my fault, but I promised Genevieve the party would be awesome. I was terrible at keeping promises.
Heather humiliated Genevieve in front of everyone, which was awful. Genevieve left crying because the party was not what she had expected. It was actually one of the worst parties ever.
I took a deep breath and got up from my bed. I slowly walked to the restroom and took a quick bath. The fresh water on my skin helped me to relax and think about what I was going to do next.
Apologizing to Genevieve would be hard. She was really mad, and now the whole school thought we were sleeping around together. Heather was a stupid slut, and she was going to make the rest of my life miserable.
I finished with my bath and got dressed. Once I was ready, I took my phone and put it inside my pocket. Then, I left my house and walked to Genevieve's house. I had only twenty-five days left, and if I did not apologize soon, I would not be able to make Genevieve happy.
I walked for a lot of time, and then I finally arrived at her house. I would never get tired of seeing its beautiful garden. The flowers were the most beautiul flowers I had ever seen.
I took out my phone and took a picture of the beautiful flowers, then I walked to the front door and knocked on it. I bit my lip nervously, thinking on what I was going to tell to Genevieve's dad when he opened the door.
Suddenly, the door opened. I closed my eyes so that I would not have to stare at those creepy blue eyes of his and took a deep breath.
"Is Genevieve home?" I asked nervously.
"Yes, I am home, Scofield. Why do you have to act so weird?" A familiar voice said. I opened my eyes and saw Genevieve standing right in front of me.
"Where's your dad?" I asked confused.
"He is in New York City," she explained, "what are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to tell you how sorry I was," I said.
"Just shut up, okay? I don't want to see you ever again, Scofield!"
"Why not? It was not my fault and you know it!" I exclaimed. Her lips started to tremble, and a little tear streamed down her face.
"Everyone thinks I'm a slut now!" She exclaimed.
"That's not true!" I exclaimed.
"They think we are sleeping together, and it's all because of your reputation!"
"What reputation?"
"Your reputation as a player!" She exclaimed. At least she did not call me an as**ole like every other girl.
"I'm trying to change, Genevieve. I want to be different for the sake of our friendship!"
"What friendship? Do you really think I am your friend? Well, you are in a huge mistake, Scofield. I am not your friend," she said.
"But... I thought we were--"
"Friends? We are not! Do you really think you are different from any other guy I've met? No! You are cruel and wicked, and you don't care about my feelings!"
"I do care about your feelings!" I exclaimed. Genevieve's eyes filled with tears, but not of sadness. They were more like tears of anger.
"Just leave!"
