I'm just on guard duty I know there are a lot of issues in this town but they are lucky, it feels like the Woodbury only without the bad vibes, but that was a lifetime ago. I sometimes wonder if he made it out of there or did the governor get him killed. I look up as I hear the sound of cars Aaron and Eric must be back that's early they weren't due for a few days. I'm on guard duty with Nicholas he's such a sleaze but better than most of the men in Woodbury. Nicholas just opens the gate I would have made sure that they weren't forcing Aaron here.

"Hey, Aaron brought a group." It's the biggest group he has ever brought.

"Nicholas if you're going to be a guard you could at least try guarding why don't you roll out the red carpet."

"You'd know all about red carpet."

"Asshole."

"It's okay Emma they are good people. They helped Eric so they are good in my book."

"I'm Rick Grimes I was a cop. And these are our people we are good people." No fucking way it can't be.

"I'll believe it when I see it. Do they know..." Bang!

"Dinner."

I looked at the hunter of the group and was shocked I know those eyes I see them every day.

"As I was saying you need to accept that you hand in your weapons and you will be evaluated by Deanna."

"Who's Deanna?" Asked the redhead.

"Our leader. She likes to meet everyone. Nicholas help Aaron get Eric to Pete I'll take them to the armory and then on to Deanna. Follow me but you must come in with your weapons lowered personally I'd make you surrender them now but I'm not in charge."

"So Deanna is in charge?"

"Yeah, she is." I lead them to where they can surrender their weapons. "Hunter I'm going to let you keep yours though I doubt you'd let me take it am I right? I'd probably have to kill you for it am I right?" He raises his weapon. "Whoa easy there killer. I wasn't about to take your favorite toy away from you." He grunted at me. I watched them hand over their guns and various other assorted weapons. "Well, fuck me were you guys trying to take over a small country?"

"No it's not safe out there, you'd know that if you had been out there."

"I was out there for six months alone and pregnant, then I gave birth to my daughter so yeah I know how bad it can be and what you have to do to survive. Oh, your daughter she's what nearly a year she's very pretty."

"Thank you."

"Yeah well, she will have a playmate my daughter about the same age."

"There are kids here?" Asked the one that was pretending to struggle with her weapon. I'm getting all sorts of bad vibes from her. She knows more than she's playing at.

"We have about ten now twelve if you decide to join us. Thank you for giving them up freely. Now I'll take you to Deanna and then they'll find you somewhere to stay."

I led them over to Deanna's house. I knocked on the door introduced Rick to Deanna and was waiting with the rest to keep an eye on them.

"How long have you been here?"

"Oh, about a year give or take. As I was outside when Aaron and Eric helped me deliver my daughter so she's nearly a year old."

I left once Nicholas came back and I retreated to my house. I closed my door and my eyes.
