A Week Later...

Emma POV

I don't know how I am feeling. I'm kinda in a daze I haven't gone back to work, Daryl has finally gone back to work today, he's too good to me. I love him so much. He blames himself for what Mac did. I've been sleeping a lot I didn't kick Daryl out of the bedroom not that I could have dragged him out he wanted to look after me.

"Mommy?"

"Yeah, Merlynn. What's up buttercup?"

"What's a ghost mom?"

"It's the spirit of a person. Why you ask baby?"

"I think there's a ghost in the roof I hear noises in the roof, there was one in my room last night."

"Maybe I know your daddy he sometimes visits."

"The ghost must have been daddy as he said baby go back to sleep and touched me."

"Yeah it might be your dad or maybe there was another daddy here and he thought you were his daughter."

"Okay, mommy."

"I'm sure it's nothing baby, ghosts can't hurt you babe they can't move things."

I wonder why Merle's been coming to see Merlynn? That's just odd. I have to get the kids to daycare today and school for the bigger kids, so I run off and have a shower so I don't feel so grimy, I wash myself and look at the damage that is still there I have to take the stitches out from around my areola, the scratches are starting to disappear, the other bite mark Denise had to stitch which was on my ass is healing as well that one Denise will have to take out as I can't reach it. I don't know how Daryl can look at me, I've been branded this man's property. I can't even feed my babies anymore not properly he damages that nipple so bad I haven't been able to use it so my milk stopped, hurts like a son of a bitch. When I'm done I heard a sound like a house was settling, houses make those kinds of sounds.

I head out with my tribe following drop Merlynn and Dylan off at school, and the rest of the kids at daycare Tara suggested Caroline and Sophia stay as well until I'm feeling better so I can rest.

I get back home and was about to watch something when there was a knock at the door I get up and answer.

"Oh hi, Emma."

"Hi, Maggie."

"May I come in?"

"I guess so." I let Maggie in, I don't want to see anyone I feel very stupid over all this, I believed this man was okay when everyone was saying he wasn't. I still can't believe I was so blind.

"You guess so? Well, I've been asked to come over so I'm doing it." I let Maggie in.

"Let me guess Daryl did am I right?"

"Yeah, he thought you'd like a girl to talk to. Maybe someone that had been hurt by someone else before." As Maggie sets about setting her new baby another girl Teresa on the floor.

"You were hurt before?"

"Probably shouldn't tell you, it concerns Merle."

"What about Merle?"

"Oh, he found Glenn and me and brought us back to Woodbury. The governor tried to rape me."

"Did Merle hurt you?"

"Held me at gunpoint, brought me to Woodbury, beat the shit out of Glenn, I mean I know it's nothing compared to what you are probably feeling but there are people here that want to help. And you getting attacked by that gang like the rest of us girls."
