One week later...

Unknown POV

As we drive through the gates of Gracepoint, it looks like a quiet little town, but it's hiding a deadly secret. Someone here took it upon themselves and killed the man they had in custody. Justice didn't prevail here. We parked the car in front of the station and walked up the stairs, pushed open the door.

"You know what I love about country town agent Bloom?"

"I don't know what agent Smecker?"

"They are so trusting, I wonder how many still have their doors unlocked at night? I also wonder if there's a decent coffee place here."

"Probably not as many as there used to be."

"True that's a shame it looks like a nice town. Now to find the sheriff one, Rick Grimes."

"Hello, how can I help you?"

"I'm special agent Smecker and special agent Bloom..."

"Oh, you're the guys well guy and girl that the army sent. I'm officer Carl Grimes."

"Government sent us to investigate the death of Mackenzie Walters. I guess we are looking for your dad Rick."

"Yeah he is on patrol, I'll call him in to see you."

"Thanks, we also need the addresses of all the women he attacked. We want to interview them, this was a crime of passion someone that knew these girls killed him."

"Well, agents...

"Special officer there's a special before my agent I'd appreciate it if you put it before it."

"I'm sorry she gets all uppity when people don't use it. We aren't here to cause problems but we want the person that did this to be punished for their crime, we can't have vigilantes running around, first stuff like that happens and then we have mafia gangs building up, we already have that problem with Las Vegas, it's almost like the world hasn't ended." Just then Rick walks in.

"I'm Rick Grimes. So why aren't you trying to stop that instead of hunting a person that was just trying to protect their family in case he got out again? I should have let Daryl...."

"That would be Daryl Dixon I presume? He's the husband of the last victim Emma Dixon."

"Yes, he is. I should never have let him stop might've been easier."

"You didn't and now we have to find the person that did it and bring him or her to justice."

"I don't understand why they did the world a favor killing that psycho who had no redeeming features."

"Doesn't justify murder. You still have the body on ice?"

"Waste of good electricity."

Rick takes us down to the basement where the morgue is.

"It's fine you can leave us now sheriff."

He walked off and left them.

An hour later...

"Well the person that did this was good but not good enough, they used potassium chloride if you don't know what that is it's the stuff they use in executions, this was given with the relaxant chasers. So what we have here is a person that was able to overpower by the looks of him a fairly big man or a person that is a very quick-moving man or woman. Quick enough to be able to tie his wrists to I guess the bars with zip ties.
