I looked myself over and was satisfied with how I looked. I changed into a light pair of skinny jeans with a simple tshirt. Nothing too fancy. I walked back downstairs and saw Jason standing there looking at the pictures on the wall. "I'm ready." I said suddenly, and caused him to turn around quickly. He nodded and walked towards the door.

He flipped his hood back up and walked into the car. I quickly hopped in after him and he headed back to the house.

After only 10 minutes of driving, he pulled back into the driveway. He killed the engine and put it in park. He looked at me for a second. "I will warn you, the guys are home. So as soon as I walk in, they'll be making a fit and yelling at me for taking you out. So just relax." He shrugged. I nodded and followed him to the front door. He reached under the front mat and grabbed the spare key. He unlocked the door and walked through it. I quickly walked up stairs quietly, like Jason wanted me to do.

I stayed by the staircase to just listen in on how bad they were going to yell at him. I needed to be entertained. "McCann. What the hell is your problem? Going out and public and taking her out? You could've got caught! Are you a dumbass?!" Shouted a voice, who I believed was Zak. I heard Jason scoff. "Big fucking whoop. I'm still here aren't I?" Jason snapped. "It's not like Northside is gonna get my ass." He continued.

"No but Northside will get your ass if you don't pay them their money back." "Pssh," I saw Jason's hand wave in the air. "So? I'll just blow them to bits. Simple as that." I heard a different voice this time. "Jason, just watch your back next time." "Watch my fucking back. You watch your goddamn back." Jason snapped.

I heard him walk towards the stairs. I quickly stood up and ran into his room. He opened the door and looked over at me. "Hey, uh, sorry about that." He said, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. "Oh, it's fine." I said. I've heard worse. My dad isn't really a people person. Lets just put it that way. "Do you wanna do me a favor?" Jason asked raising his eyebrow. "Uh, sure?" "Can you just introduce yourself to them so it's not so weird having a girl upstairs in my room and she doesn't know any one but me you know."

I giggled. "Yeah, sure?" "Okay. And don't be freaked out or anything. The guys are pretty cool once you get to know them." He said walking towards the stairs, me following behind. "Oh I bet," I mumbled to myself, so only I could hear myself. I stopped at the end of the stairs. All of Jason's gang glanced over at me. I felt my cheeks grow red from my nervousness.

Especially around that Zak guy. I mean he fucking sliced my leg for fucks sake. "Guys, this is Stella.." "Scarlett!" I corrected. He rolled his eyes. "This is Scarlett." He said, putting emphasis on my name. I nodded. I heard a wave of 'hi's' and 'hello's'. I awkwardly waved. I can't deal with this. This is seriously frustrating. I've been here for almost 2 days and I still dont know why I'm here. "That's Alex, Ben, and Andrew. You've obviously met Zak." Jason awkwardly said.

I waved again. Before I guess you could say, think of anything else. Zak read my mind and talked about what I was just thinking. "Before I say anything, sorry for slicing your leg," I shifted my position while standing uncomfortably. I nodded. "But I bet you're wondering why you're here?" I nodded quickly. "Yeah I am actually!" He chuckled. "Do you know Luke Ryan?" I hesitantly nodded. "I used to go to school with him in high school." Zak's eyes lit up.

"Good, good okay. Do you know him personally. Physically, on Facebook? Anything?!" He frantically asked. "Uhm, I don't talk to him personally but I think I have him on Facebook. Why?" Zak took a breath. "Luke is on this gang we can't stand. They're always causing trouble with us. The Northsiders. He's the head leader and we need to know where exactly he is. Can you help?" "I could check Facebook."

I pulled out my phone and logged onto the app searching for his name in my contacts. I found him and clicked on his name and looked at his most recent status. "Here we go. He wrote a status saying 'Meeting up with the crew at Milwood. Prepare for a crazy night'. What a loser. He's still the loser he was in high school." All the guys laughed at my comment. My face went blood red. "Did I say that out loud?" They all nodded. "I like you. We could always use you to help us." Alex offered. "Well as long as I don't do anything physical," I shyly said. "You won't have to worry about any of that." Jason urged.

"Just to find out stuff about certain people because you, believe it or not, have gone to school with some of the guys that are our enemies." My eyes widened. Weird knowing I went to school with criminals. Zak nodded his head towards Jason. Jason grabbed onto my arm and walked back out to the car. "Where are we going?" I said as I hopped into the car and he started driving. "Taking you home." He said flatly. "What?!" "Why sound surprised? Did you not want to leave?" He teased.

"No it's just. I thought you were keeping me there." "No. We don't need you anymore....at the moment. We only needed you for Luke." My jaw dropped. "You're an asshole," I said playfully punching his arm. "Well we couldn't ask till you were sober." He pulled in front of my house. I stepped out and started walking to the front door. "Hey!" Jason called from the window. I turned around and looked at him. "Be ready at 7 tomorrow." He winked and drove away. What the hell just happened? Did the Jason McCann ask me out on a date?
