*Jason's POV*

I woke up to the natural sunlight beating through the blinds. I kept squinting to adjust to the brightness. I looked at the clock next to me and it read 12:39. Did I really sleep in that late that's it's already afternoon. I looked at the space next to me which was empty. Scarlett's body molding on the sheets weren't barely there. There was a note written on the nightstand next to that side.

I reached over and saw a note with Scarlett's cute handwriting on it. 'Morning!! Sorry I left without you knowing. I didn't want my mom to worry even more. I left at around 8:30-9 this morning. I hope you have an amazing day today! Hopefully we'll hang out again! Love, Scarlett♡' I smiled at the little heart she put by her name. I set it down and walked downstairs. It was quiet. Not a surprise that the guys were probably still sleeping. I pulled my phone out and texting Scarlett. 'Hey beautiful. I saw your note. Hope you got home safe, and have an wonderful day. Jason' I hit send and put my phone down. I flipped through the channels and put it on hockey. There wasn't much on that I knew of. I looked at my phone and saw that it wasn't read.

Scarlett normally replies right away when I text her. Maybe she's just busy or in trouble. Probably in trouble I would assume. My phone started ringing next to me. I looked and saw Scarlett's contact on the front screen. I smiled and answered it. "Hey gorgeous." I beamed. "Sorry you're talking to the wrong person." A voice chuckled. My eyes widened and my body tensed up. "Who is this?" "Oh you don't know? It's your old pal Luke." I could practically hear the smirk in his voice. I stood up from the couch in alarm. "What the hell are you doing picking up Scarlett's phone?" I snarled. "Oh she paid me a little visit."

"No she didn't. She's not stupid enough to do that." I spat. "Okay you got me there, but the crew are talking very good care of her," he said putting emphasis on 'very.' "If you touch her I swear, I'll -" "You'll do what? Hmm? Last time I checked you two aren't a thing." He chuckled. "It doesn't matter if we are or not." "Oh it doesn't? Then why do you care so much?" I stayed silent. I didn't really know how to answer that actually. "That's what I thought. I'd like to see you try and get her. I will say...you'll get her. But I won't promise that she'll be alive." My eyes widened in alarm. I heard him chuckle before the line went dead.

I threw my phone and yelled in anger. The guys came rushing down stairs. "What's your problem?" Zak sternly said. "The Northsiders have Scarlett." I said staring into the air thinking about how I'm going to do this. Zak's face softened. I turned towards them. "You guys are going to help me get her." I said seriously. Zak nodded. "Anything. We may fight, but when it comes to things like this. We work together." He said confidently. I nodded. "First we need to track the number." Andrew said. I handed him the phone since he was really good at this stuff. He quickly ran downstairs where all of our equipment stuff was. "So, how are we going to do this?" Ben excitedly asked. I rolled my eyes. "You guys are going to drive me there. I need back up. The Northsiders have a big crew. I can guarantee you I can't take them all by myself. We'll think of the rest as soon as we get there." Andrew came running up the stairs. "We have a line." He smirked. "Nice work, now let's go. They said they can either hand her to me dead or alive." I swallowed hard.

I shook the thought off. I quickly ran into the car. The guys hopped in the car and stomped on the gas pedal driving to the Northsiders place. About 10 minutes of driving we pulled into an old looking building. "You sure this is it?" I asked, jumping out. "Positive." Andrew said. I lightly touched my pocket to make sure a fully loaded pistol was sitting perfectly untouched. I quietly walked into the front door and kept my hand near my pocket. I heard people talking down the hall. I turned to face the guys. "Ben & Andrew. You take this floor. Zak? Come with me upstairs.: I whispered quietly. They all nodded and took their places. Me and Zak quietly walked up the stairs. I heard the muffled cries and screams of someone all too familiar. Scarlett. "I think I found her." I whispered. "Go! I'll keep look out." He whispered, pushing me towards the door. I kicked the door open and saw Luke in front of Scarlett. Scarlett on the other hand, didn't look good. She was tied to a chair. She had a cloth wrapped around her mouth and her mascara was dripping down her cheeks. She was half naked!

I ran towards her and pushed Luke out of the way. I pulled the cloth off her mouth and cut the rope around her hands. She rubbed her wrists from the rope burn. I stood in front of her and held one of her hands while I aimed the gun I had at Luke. Scarlett's hand frantically shook. "You really didn't think I could come here and kill most of your crew?" I taunted as I heard gunshots from downstairs. He look frightened himself. "McCann. You wouldn't dare." "Try me." I sneered as I pulled the trigger and it hit him in the shoulder. He fell in pain. I picked up Scarlett and carried her bridal style. I wrapped a blanket around her. Zak quickly followed behind. I felt a sharp pain hit me in the side.

I knew I was just hit by a bullet but it didn't affect me. Andrew & Ben saw us leaving and ran outside to the car. I sat in the backseat with Scarlett in my arms. She was slowly getting weaker and weaker. I noticed blood seeping through the blanket. I lifted it and saw a stab wound on her side. My eyes widened. "Don't you dare give up." I said as I cradled her in my arms. She was getting more lethargic by the minute. "Don't you dare let go. We're almost at the hospital." I whispered in her ear. "Don't leave me." I said as a single tear slid down my cheek.
