*Jason's POV*

For the last five to ten minutes on the road, I rocked Scarlett in my arms surprisingly keeping her conscious just barely. Zak quickly pulled into a parking spot and I jumped out with Scarlett in my arms before he could even put the car in park. I ran through the emergency room doors. Before I could say anything, several nurses came walking towards me.

"Please help. She-She's hurt. I dont know..." One of the nurses put her hand on my shoulder. She was on the older side. "Calm down sweetie. We'll take good care of her." She said, giving me a reassuring smile. I nodded as they took Scarlett from my arms and put her on a gurney, rushing her down the hallway.

I tried to follow behind but the same nurse stopped me. "Just give them a few to check her and everything." She looked down at my side. I looked down at it too. I thought it was Scarlett's blood but it was clearly mine from the wound I had on my side. "Come on let's get you stitched up." She led me to a room and had me sit on a bed thing. She grabbed equipment to fix me up.

I looked at my side. It looked like the bullet had only clipped me in the side. Thank god it was only that. "So, how did all this happen. Your girlfriend getting stabbed and you getting clipped in the side." She looked at me with a smirk on her face and a raised eyebrow.

"Well she's not my girlfriend, just a friend. But this guy me and my friends aren't very fond of, took her. And I had to get her back. They're aren't very easy to work with." I sighed. She nodded. "It's fine if you don't wanna say. Nurses have to ask." She said waving a hand. I just nodded. I felt like my heart was about to pound out of my chest any minute now. I was really worried about Scarlett. I know she's going to be okay.

Even the nurse said so, so she has to be! The nurse finished with the stitching and cleaned up everything. "Can I see her now?" I anxiously asked. She smiled warmly at me. "I would imagine. I'll show you where she is." She said turning towards the door.

I hopped off the chair and walked behind her. We walked down the long hallways and stopped at a door. It was already marked with 'Reed, Scarlett'. "Just stay here for a moment." She politely said. I nodded and stood outside the door while she quietly walked inside. I paced the hallway feeling nervous. But she was okay, that's what the nurses said. I didn't even know where the guys were to be honest and I didn't care at the moment.

All I really cared about right now was Scarlett. Soon after the door opened and the nurse and doctor walked out. "Hello I'm Dr. Michaels. And you are?" He asked holding his hand out. I shook his hand. "I'm Jason....McCann." I said hesitantly. The doctor chuckled. "We don't care who you are. We wanna make sure everybody is okay." He assured.

I nodded and cracked a smile. He turned to a serious expression. "Now onto Ms. Reed. She had a severe stab wound as you probably knew. She lost a lot of blood so she may not wake up quite yet. Luckily we had her blood type and the blood is running through her as of now along with pain killers and such." I nodded understanding most of what he was saying.

"Also...she was showing signs of trauma when she was awake for a short moment. She was easily startled and her heart rate increased. Along with confusion. This trauma may be temporary then again...it could be permanent. It all matters on tests that are developing as of right now." It's not a surprise that she's suffering trauma. But hopefully it's temporary and not permanent.

"Can I see her now?" I asked after thinking about everything. Dr. Michael smiled. "Yes you can. She's not awake yet. We'll see about tomorrow morning." "Thank you doctor really." He chuckled. "I think you should be thanking yourself. If you hadn't brought her here in time, it would've been too late."

He smiled and walked away. I looked down and smiled. I guess he's right, yeah? I slowly walked in her room and shut it behind me. I walked towards her and I felt terrible. It's my fault she's here. I didn't watch her and she got into Luke's hands. I sat at a chair by her bedside and slowly reached for her hand.

I saw the monitors of her heart rate increasing. The trauma. Well looks like I'll have to get used to this for awhile. It beeped faster each time. "Shh, it's me Jason. Don't worry." I quietly said. Instantly, her heart rate evened out to normal. I smiled and interlocked her fingers with mine this time. I lightly rubbed the top of her hand with my thumb.

"I'm so sorry you're here. It's all my fault. If I would've watched you, we wouldn't be in this mess." I sighed. "But of course things don't go as planned." I heard the door behind me open. I didn't bother to look behind me. I heard several people walk in. I felt a hand placed on my shoulder.

"She's alright Jason. She's alright." Zak said patting my back. "Yeah that's all that matters. But nothing will be the same after this." "Yeah we kind of figure that." They sighed. I looked at the time on the wall clock. 11:49pm. What a stressful day. "We're going head home. You wanna join?" Zak asked.

"No he said she'd wake up tomorrow morning and I want to be there." The guys smiled at me. "We'll see you tomorrow then. Good luck!" He said waving bye, walking out the door. I felt myself falling into unconsciousness. I kissed Scarlett's hand before falling asleep sitting up in the chair.
