"Jason McCann?" I asked in disbelief. He hesitantly nodded. "Who are you?" He asked with a smirk planted on his face. "S-Scarlett Reed." I said quietly. He nodded. "Nice name." He said sticking his lip out. I awkwardly nodded. "W-Why am I here?" I asked shyly. "You know, to be honest. I don't honestly know." "Well that makes me feel better." I spoke, sarcasm dripping from each word.
"But! I can tell you, you won't be here long." He insisted. "Won't be here long? So you're keeping me here?!" I shouted. He shrugged. "Unbelievable." I tried to change the position I was sitting in but my leg kept me from doing so. "I'll be downstairs. But don't come down there!" He urged. I slightly chuckled. "Okay I won't. Please, I wouldn't even dream of it." "Don't be a bitch." He growled. Jeez, someone's bipolar. I nodded and he walked out the bedroom door, slamming it hard behind him.
Great, well now I know I'm not coming home anytime soon. How am I gonna call my parents or Ashley? My phone. I looked and saw my phone siting on the end table perfectly untouched. I carefully reached over and grabbed it, unlocking it. I saw I had no service. "I blocked your service!" Jason called from the end of the hall. I was just able to hear the smirk in his voice. I groaned and threw my phone on the bed. I rested my head in my hands. What am I going to do? I sighed.
He said I wasn't going to be here long. Wherever here is? I don't even know which of the guys from downstairs took me. Whether it was Jason or that...Zak guy. Whoever he was. I looked and saw that I was still wearing my short dress from a few hours ago. I was still wearing my heels! I pulled them off and rotated my ankles around. I looked at my phone and saw messages from Ashely that I had before Jason cut my service.
'Where are you?' 'Did you leave?' And about a hundred more. I sighed stressed, knowing I wasn't able to reply back. I heard footsteps coming back up the stairs. Jason walked through the door and shut it behind him. He walked towards his dresser, pulling his shirt over his head. I looked over and saw him shirtless looking for something in a drawer. I saw he had tattoos here and there. He was pretty cute but no. He's Las Vegas's top wanted. I can't. Without me knowing from my daydreaming, he was changed into a pair of sweats and remained shirtless.
He grabbed and extra blanket and pillows and threw them on the floor. "W-What are you doing?" I shyly and quietly asked. "I'm going to sleep. I suggest you do too." He spat. I nodded, evening though he wouldn't see me since he was still sitting on the floor.
I carefully laid down and pulled the covers from under me, pulling them close to my body. The covers smelled of cologne. Similar to how Jason's was. I sighed. How am I supposed to sleep when I'm under a different roof with a bunch of criminals? I breathed in deeply and shut my eyes, hoping to fall asleep peacefully.
-Next Morning-
I woke up to another sharp pain in my head. Luckily, my hands weren't tied this time so I could rub my forehead. I heard Jason's soft snores from the bed next to me. I quietly looked and the blanket was covering from his waist down, so his abs were showing fully. He was pretty toned.
I leaned back and laid back down staring at the ceiling above me. I shifted uncomfortably in my position. My dress was all wrinkled and weird in all the places. I need a change of clothes. I'll just ask Jason about that later. I heard Jason clearing his throat, waking up near me. He sat up and cracked his back. I awkwardly played with my fingers. "Be right back." He said in a raspy morning voice. It was pretty sexy. I walked out the door and heard his footsteps walk down the stairs. I huffed aloud.
I've been in what I think is his room for awhile now. Am I not allowed to come downstairs or something? Awhile later, I heard Jason walk back up the stairs and into the room. "Can I ask something?" I quietly asked. His head glanced towards me. He nodded. "Sure. What is it?" He asked. "I don't know if you're going to say yes to this but do you think maybe we could drive to my house and grab a change of clothes? I probably shouldn't have asked you that since you were going to say no any...."
"Okay," he shrugged. "What?" I asked confused. "I said okay? Make sense?" He chuckled. "Yeah but I just didn't think you'd say yes," I spoke softly. "Yeah well I said yes. I'll take you in a minute. Just let me get ready," he said standing back up, walking to get some clothes. "You could go downstairs. The guys aren't here." He said in monotone.
I nodded and stepped off the bed. My leg still had slight pain but not as much. I carried my heels from the night before in my hands as I walked barefoot down the wooden steps. As I reached the bottom floor, or what I thought was the bottom floor, I saw what you would see in any house. A kitchen, an open hallway, a room with couches and a TV. You know, the basics. I heard footsteps come running down the stairs.
"Ready?" He asked. I nodded. He threw his hood on his head and walked out the front door, me following behind and hopped in his car. "Address?" He asked, making the engine roar to life. "8259 S. Karlo Street." He nodded and reversed out of the short driveway, driving to my house. "Is anyone home?" He asked cautiously. I shook my head. "No, my parents are at work and my friend? She's probably at home or just....somewhere."
I shrugged. The rest of the ride was silent until we reached my house. Jason claimed he had to come in with me to make sure I wouldn't call the police or something on the phones here. "You can grab something to eat or drink if you want?" I suggested as i ran up the stairs.
