I looked at Jason and he was no longer looking at me. He was looking over at the doorway. I looked at the doorway as well and saw someone who looked angry and happy at the same time. My mother. She came running to me and hugged me causing me to let go of Jason's hand. He backed away letting me and my mom have time alone until I stopped him.

"No Jason stay!" I said. He stopped walking and my mom looked at Jason. "Mom, this is my friend Jason." I smiled. My mom smiled and Jason held his hand out. "We don't do hand shakes in this family." She said giving Jason a friendly hug. I giggled at Jason who seemed startled. 'Shut up' he mouthed to me grinning. I rolled my eyes playfully.

My mom didn't care who you were. She was nice to everybody. In this case, Jason being the kind of person he is, my mom didn't care. "Mom, Jason saved me." I proudly said. Jason's cheeks reddened as if he was shy of what he did. "You did?" She said in disbelief. Jason nodded. "I can't thank you enough. You saved my little girl." She smiled. He returned the favor. "It's nothing, really." She nodded and turned to me.

"I'll be coming back later tonight. I'll buy you some food tonight instead of poor Jason here doing it." She teased. Me and him chuckled. She kissed my forehead and walked out the door, waving goodbye before she did. "So that was your mom?" Jason wondered. "Obviously! You dummy." I giggled. "Just making sure!" He continued, "I'm surprised she doesn't hate me."

I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "Why would she hate you?" "Because, of who I am. I'm Jason McCann. Everyone isn't so fond of me. Meaning they all hate me." He sighed. "Hey, I like you so she'll like you." I smiled. He grinned. "Thanks." I nodded. I looked over at the bag sitting on the table behind him. He followed my gaze and smirked.

"Oh that's for me. Not for you." "Jason!" I whined. "I'm just kidding, just kidding! It's all for you." He smiled handing me the bag. "Thank you." I cheekily smiled. He nodded and pulled out his phone.

After I was done eating, Jason threw the bag and stuff out and sat next to me. "That chair seems uncomfortable." "Trust me. It is." I thought for a moment. I slowly slid over and winced slightly at the pain tearing at my side. I patted the spot next to me. He looked at me confused. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Sit here!" I urged. "No I..." "Just do it." I sighed. He stood up and exhaled dramatically. I giggled as he sat next to me. "There. That wasn't so bad was it," I teased. He rolled his eyes playfully. "Whatever." His phone buzzed in his front pocket. He pulled it out and read the text message he received.

"The guys are going to stop by. They're on their way now. I told them that you woke up this morning." I nodded. "Okay cool." I smiled. I grabbed the remote next to my bedside and looked to see if I could work this tv. It was one of those old ones. Like really old. I flipped through channels to find something to watch.

I sighed not being able to find anything just leaving it on basketball. Which Jason immediately noticed and his eyes were glued on the screen. I giggled and studied his features. His perfectly spiked hair, his honey brown eyes, his defined jawline. "Take a picture. It'll last longer," he smirked turning not his head but his eyes towards me.

I felt my cheeks redden with embarrassment. I heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" Jason said for me. I glared at him. The door opened and Zak, Ben, Alex and Andrew all walked in. "How you doing kiddo?" Zak asked. "Better." I beamed. He smiled and nodded. He looked over at Jason who was now leaning on my shoulder while his eyes were still glued to the tv.

He raised a brow at me and smirked. I shook my head side to side and mouthed 'no' to him. He gave me a sarcastic look. I glared at him and shook it off. "When are you leaving out of this hell hole?" Ben asked looking around. "Sometime tonight," I said and giggled at his question. They all nodded. We all sat around and talked and stuff. You know, the usual I guess.

Pretty soon it was 6:30pm and I was starving. The door opened and in walked Dr. Michaels. "Scarlett?" "Yes?" He smiled at me. "I'm happy to say you're free to leave now. But we would like it if you could come sometime next week for a check up. Both of you." I mentally cheered and threw a party in my head. "Okay I'll do that," I grinned.

He nodded and walked out. Jason smiled at me. "You can finally leave!" He cheered. "I know!" I stopped for a moment. "Why do you need a check up though?" I said worriedly. He laughed nervously. "Uhm well you see. I was so caught up with everything that I didn't realize I got clipped with a bullet,.."

"A bullet!" He sighed. "Scarlett it's not that bad!" He said lifting his shirt showing his side that had a stitching on it. "Jesus Christ Jason." I huffed. "I don't have a fresh change of clothes." I said changing the subject. "Which is exactly why I brought you some." He grinned. He handed me a pair of his sweats and a tank top. "We'll wait outside." He said and walked out, along with the guys.

I slowly slid out of bed avoiding the pain in my side. I quickly changed into the clothes Jason gave me and looked around the room to see if I was missing anything. I grabbed my phone and walked out. That was the only thing with me. I walked with Jason and the guys out to the car. The car ride to my house was silent. I liked it.

The hospital was pretty hectic the past 2 days. Zak pulled in front of my house and unlocked the doors. "I'll see you guys soon." I said hopping out of the car and Jason hopping out after me? "What are you doing?" I asked as the guys drove off.

"The doctor said I have to stay with you for the next couple weeks. I already explained it to your mom so she let me stay," he winked. "Oh joy," I giggled.
