*Scarlett's POV*

I was awakened by the usual sounds of a hospital, except this time I was outside Jason's room instead of by his side like how it was when I fell asleep. I rubbed my eyes, seeing a bit more clearly. "You weren't supposed to fall asleep in there you know." Zak said with a smirk on his face. "Well sorry. I couldn't help it. I was exhausted." I glared at him.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." He said waving a hand. I sighed and looked at the time on my phone. 2:36am. I can't even remember when we got here. I'm half asleep and tired. I just wanna go home. Why can't everything be back to normal? Ever since I've been with Jason, nothing's normal anymore... I hate it. I brushed it off. I should just not think about it. I saw a doctor walk into Jason's room and I immediately got worried. I shouldn't be though.

He's just checking in on him. A few minutes later he was walking rather quickly down the hall. I managed to hear him say "We got a code blue in 1103. Code blue, room 1103." My eyes widened. I thought I was just being paranoid now there is something happening to him. My heart was pounding in my chest.

I wanted to run into the room to check if he was okay. But he would want me not to worry. I tried keeping my breaths even and to keep calm. The same doctor and about three nurses went into his room. "W-What's going on?" I said turning to Zak. "Don't worry. Whatever it is, they'll fix it. They're doctors, they do this kinda stuff everyday." Zakk reassured. I slowly nodded.

*Jason's POV*

I was laying in the small hospital bed staring up at the ceiling. There's nothing to do in this hell hole. I felt my chest cramp up. I groaned quietly as it got worse and worse. I felt like I was getting shot all over again. The doctor came walking in and looked at my heart monitor. His eyes widened and quickly walked back out. I glanced over at it and saw it getting higher. I felt my eyes slowly close for only god knows why and saw something.

I saw my brother and parents. I was in my old house, in Las Vegas. The one I grew up in. I was healed, there was nothing wrong with me. But my parents and brother are dead, why are they here. No, I'm not dead am I? "W-Why am I here?" I asked in complete shock. "You grew a lot Jason. I haven't seen you since you were 16." My brother Alex said. "Why am I here?" I said more sternly. "Jason honey," my mom hushed walking towards me. "You passed." I widened my eyes.

"No, I can't be dead. What about Scarlett?! She needs me!" I said yelling. I ran my fist into the wall causing a hole. "Jason calm down! Listen to me." My mom said, grabbing my face. "We all love you dearly. We see how much you love that girl Scarlett." "But I don't wanna leave you here." I say quietly. "We're all in a better place Jas. We want to see you live your life to the fullest. Go back to Scarlett honey. Come back with Scarlett the next time." She says kissing my cheek and hugging me. I look and see everything fading. My parents aren't standing in front of me. Neither is my brother. The room I was in went away.

"We got a pulse!" I heard someone shout. My eyes shot open to see doctors surrounding me, one with a defibrillator in his hands. "You made it kid." The doctor exhaled in relief. "What do you mean?" He smiled small. "We lost you for five minutes. You were unresponsive. You had no heart beat." "Y-You mean I was...dead?" I said in shock. He nodded. "But you're here now. That's all that matters." He gently patted my shoulder. "Thanks." "Of course." He said walking out.

*Scarlett's POV*

The doctors have been in there for five minutes. I know that's not a lot but it feels like a lifetime. "Clear!" I heard someone shout from behind the door. "Why are they saying clear! They only say that when using that shock thing. Oh no." Everyone stayed quiet and looked down. "Did they lose his heartbeat?" I put a hand over my mouth.

Tears streamed hard down my face. Zak put an arm around me trying to calm me down. I sobbed in his chest. I heard them stop saying 'clear'. I looked up from his chest, catching my breath. The doctors walked out and he looked at me. "Is Jason alright?" I practically whispered.

He smiled at me. "Yes, we got him. We lost him for about 5 minutes. But he's back and breathing on his own. You may go see him if you'd like." "Thank you so much." I smile. I walk into his room and run over to me. "You're such an asshole." I cry into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me. "I almost lost you. Don't ever scare me like that again." I sob.

He rubbed my back. "I saw them." He whispered. I looked up at him. "Who baby?" I say quietly, caressing his face. "My parents and my brother. I-I saw them in the house I grew up in when I was gone for those five minutes." He said as his voice cracked. I could tell he missed them. "My mom told me I passed, she let me come back to you. She said to come back in a few years and to make sure you were with me the next time."

He paused and looked down. He raised his head and looked at me with watery eyes. "I love you so much Scar." He pulled me into a hug. "I love you too Jas." I said kissing his cheek.
