I lay on my back on my bed as I stare up at the ceiling in boredom. I agreed to hang out with Jason today, just to catch up with him a bit. Part of me didn’t want to but the other part did because I really missed him. Oh well. I just don’t know where he’s taking me.

I suddenly feel my phone buzz from next to me. I grab it and unlock it seeing Jason calling. answer it, putting it to my ear. “Hello, this is Ms. Reed, how may I help you?” I ask playfully

resting my hand on top of my semi flat stomach.

I hear him chuckle on the other line. “I’ll be at your house in about twenty minutes. Be ready to go to the beach.” He says. I try to talk but he already hangs up. I groan mentally. I don’t wanna go to the beach because I’ve gotten so fat. Legit. I have eaten so much food that I have gained over five pounds in not even two weeks.

That’s a lot if you think about it and you can tell that I have got a little belly. Not an extreme difference but it just looks like I’ve gained weight..a lot. Guess I can’t cancel now. I get up from the bed and walk to my closet digging through all the clothes finding my bikini.

I slip it on and sigh looking at myself in the full body mirror. In only a matter of months, I will have a child of my own. I am responsible for somebody elses life now. That’s crazy to even think about. But I know I can do it. I hope so anyways.

I shrug the thought off and pull a loose t-shirt over my head and slip on some shorts on as well. I put on my sandals putting my sunglasses on top of my head. I grab all my other things walking downstairs to wait for Jason.

I sat on the edge of the couch holding my bag of things close to my chest. I look down at the time on my phone and sigh to myself. Jason should be here anytime soon now. I then hear the doorbell. Perfect timing.

I stand up and open the door seeing Jason there with his infamous grin. “Hey there Scar.” He smiled. I smile to myself. “Hey Jason.” I say softly and walk outside with him, closing the door behind me. “Let’s go.” I quietly say walking to his car, all of a sudden feeling a bit queasy and place a hand on my stomach.

“You okay?” He asks from behind me. I nod looking back at him. “I’m alright, don’t worry about me.” I say smiling falsely as I sit in the passenger's seat of his car taking deep breaths of the fresh air around me.

I stopped proceeding with that action as Jason came back into the car. He looked over at me and I noticed him raise an eyebrow to himself. I shook it off as he put the car in drive and drove off to our local beach.

I sighed to myself and laid back in the seat a bit almost as if I was slouching in my seat.

After about twenty minutes of driving, Jason parked his car at the curb and got out of the car, jogging to my side of the car opening the door before me before I even had the chance to. I smiled shyly.

“Thanks,” I said softly pushing my hair over my shoulder and stepped out of the car with my things as I walked onto the beach. I took a deep breath feeling the cool sand underneath my toes. It felt great to get out for once.

I stopped walking once I found a spot in the sand where no one was. I set down my towel then pull my shorts off my lower body, feeling pressure go away from my stomach. I hesitantly take off my shirt and put everything into my bag. I feel my cheeks get hot as I look over at Jason.

“What?” I ask embarrassedly. “Nothing, you’re just beautiful.” He mumbled quietly. I got hotter, even though we’re broken up I guess, he still knows how to make me blush. I didn’t know what to say so it just resulted with me nodding my head.

I took another deep breath as I held my stomach again. “Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked again sounding worried. I nod my head . “Oh, um, yeah. Just a few cramps and some bloating.” I say looking at him.

He chuckled. “Did I pick a wrong time to go to the beach?” He asked raising an eyebrow. I laugh quietly. “No, I’ll be alright.” I say as he takes of his t-shirt that he was wearing.

I lick my lips noticing he was more tone from the last time I ever saw him shirtless. I hear him laugh. “Ever hear of ‘take a picture, it’ll last longer’? You should try it sometime.” He teased. I laugh and roll my eyes.

“Whatever McCann.” I say and grab his hand running out to the water with him. I think because of the situation I’m in now with being pregnant with his baby, I need to put our past behind us. Well at least the situation behind us. Not necessarily our past.

He smiles and picks me up holding me bridal style. He laughs as the water splashes up onto us both. I smile widely seeing him having the time of his life. He looks down at me, catching me staring at him.

I blush but don’t look away as I look into his honey brown eyes.

Without hesitation, I press my lips to his roughly, leaving one arm around his neck and the other remained on his cheek.

He kissed back hard as I felt his arms push me closer to him. I sigh against his lips as it felt good to feel his lips against mine. And it all felt good that it seemed like things were falling into place again.

After our little moment, me and Jason walked along the boardwalk of the beach. He held my hand in his tightly as we walked into a cute little restaurant. We were eating while I thought to myself.

Everything was so perfect again, me and Jason were practically together again. I mean he didn’t ask but I assumed because we exchanged kisses here and there like we used to and he did say ‘I have the most beautifulest girlfriend in the world!’ I mean if that doesn’t explain something, I don’t know what will.

Anyways, back to my world of thoughts; I decided to tell Jason the news. If I don’t tell him now and get it over with, I don’t know when else I would do it because then eventually he’ll find out on his own and get mad at me.

I take a deep breath as I look over at him sitting across from me. “Jason?” I say hesitantly. “Hm?” He mumbled as he looked over at me while he ate. I paused for a minute before choosing my words. “Jason, I’m pregnant.”
