Bad news (chapter 9)

Anika's POV

We arrive at home pretty late and he's so lucky that's his excuse! For tomorrow He still have guesting on 2pm while me? I still need to go to school but I hope mommy already excuse me... It's 2:00 am in the morning. tired. I go straightly to my room.. Look at my self at the mirror.. Damn this gown is just so perfect!

How's the party? Mommy ask
It was good..okay if was fun! all the celebrities were there! It was insane! I can't forget it.
I was trying to reach for my zipper..

Want me to help you with that? Mommy ask
Yes please...
She unzip my zipper and gave me my rub..

She sigh and said
Baby,I have a bad news..
I turn around to look at her. "What is it?"

We're going back to Europe... Then look at the floor..

"What!!" I said I'm sure the neighbor heard it but I don't care..
"I just stayed here for just 3 months and I'm going back to Europe? "

Your sister has leukemia.. And sa London natin Siya Ipapagamot.
I just stayed quiet.. Looking at the floor.. "When did you know?"

She breath in and said..
"Last week, when she started puking blood having nosebleed and her hair has this Abnormal hairfall.. Kung pwede nga ako nalang ang mag kasakit ng ganyan..." Then she sob.
"Sino ang meron ganyan na sakit sa ating pamilya? It can either be your side or daddy's side.." I said while tears roll down.

If I remember correctly your greatgrandmother. My grandmother has leukemia.. She died because of that disease.. Then she also start crying.
"How long are we going stay there?"
"3 to 4years yata baby.. I don't know. as long honey gets back to her normal self again."

"How about Darren?"I ask but she pause for a moment "She pat my head and start to unbun it.." Then speak "bata pa kayo.. It's not that gusto ko na e stop what you have now.. What I mean is you can still continue it pa as long as you love each other.. Baka Puppy love palang yan.."

This is so hard... I said between sobs..
"I know.. It's very hard but we have to be brave for honey.. She's blaming her self na you can't continue studying here.. Babalik ulit sa Europe.or Baka mag Hiwalay kayo ni Darren.

Kailan tayo aalis?

Next month. I already arrange the papers about you going back to your old school.. And the tickets.. She was about to leave my room when she said something..
"I hope you understand.." Then Walk away...

I sat on my bed and start crying..

I didn't know my sister was going through something... And I have to leave Darren here.. This is so hard.. I keep wiping my tear away but it seems it won't stop..

Isn't it ironic kanina and saya saya ko pero ngayon umiiyak na ako... Parang akong baliw.

I grab my phone and start dialing lili's number.. But she didn't pick up..
Great,just great! I throw my phone and curl up my knees against my chest..

I pick my phone up after 15 mints the LCD was kinda crack but it still works.. I typed "call me tomorrow, on my other number cause this phone is dead.. I have something to tell you.. And it's a very bad news.." Send it to lili

Looking at Darren's window I can imagine him waving a bond paper that says " good night chummy! :* <3" I smiled and a tear roll down..

I need to tell him soon.

The sound of humming woke me up.. When I look at my right side Darren was there... He was wearing a EarPod. He notice that I'm awake. He smiled and remove his EarPods..
