Alone and free(Chapter 42)

Anika's POV

The suns shine entered on The glass making the room bright. While my eyes unjust from the brightness. I look at my wrist watch and it was 9 am. Since we have 1 day to explore Calgary—which is now. I would like to go to a mall. Shop and all. It was a long time since I got to go shopping. Like 2 months? I think.. And this time I want to shop alone. Then I heard the door open.

I didn't bother looking so I pretended to be asleep. But it started pinching my sides tickling me. "Okay-okay.. I'm up." I said between laughs. It was Espanto. "Good morning baby girl!" He said. I look at him with a question face on. "Baby girl? Do you know how funny it sounds?" I ask. He pouted and said. "I thought we're going to call each other baby girl, baby boy from now on." He sat at the bed beside me. I yawn and stretch my arms and legs.

"First morning in Canada. What's your plan?" He ask. "Well,I was planning to shop alone. Today and after hang out with you." I said he nod like he understands. "Well,I'm going to visit my old friends and my old school. Today, I was thinking of bringing you with me. But you have different plan so I understand but, Before 2 nan dito kana..." He said then kiss my forehead. I nod shove him away.. He stood and left. While I do my business.

After like 30 minutes of bath I change into my ankle boots just 2 inches and a high waist skinny jeans. Top it with a crop top black. And a red trench coat with faux fur inside..and wore my red scarf. And people it's sunny outside! Don't forget to wore your sunglasses. My hair was still wet so I just arrange it to the left side. And put a light make up.I brought my gloves and head out. When I arrive at the kitchen. They all looked at me. I remove my shades. And I saw lynelle's mouth was wide open. And tita on her uniform with a jacket.

"You look gorgeous iha.." Tita said as she invite me to sit. I smiled and said good morning to lynelle she observed me from head to toe. "How Do you look so pretty with just those clothes?!" Lynelle said I giggled as I sat beside her. Then tita served me a pancake in maple syrup.with a butter on top. "Hope you like it." Tita said as she walk to the kitchen. I thank her and look at the food on my plate. Thought of taking a picture of it. "Tita..what time does your mall open here? I ask as I take a bite of the pancakes. "9:30 iha." Tita answered. "Pwede po ba tita ihatid niyo ako dun? I don't want to take the taxi.." I said. I look at her and she nod. "Pwede.. Dumadaan naman ako dun.. So why not." She said then place another food on the table. It was fried rice.

Then the door bell rang. "I'll get it!" Lynelle shouted while dropping her fork at the plate and run to the door. Then I heard lynelle screamed. "Daddy!" I can hear tito lyndon's voice.. Surprise. Then Darren came running from the stairs. "Dad!" He shouted and I think they all had a group hug. "I cooked adobo.." Tita said as she placed it on the table.
"Thank you tita." I said then all of them came to the dining room. Darren and tito Lyndon looked at me. "No one said we have a visitor." Tito Lyndon said smiling. "Hello po. Good morning po tito Lyndon!" I said then his eyes widen. "Anika? Ikaw ba yan?" He ask. He sat at the side of the table while Darren kiss my forehead. "Opo." I answered. "Wow,ang Ganda mo! Er.. Kayo na ulit?" Tito ask. I nod and take a bite of the adobo. Damn this adobo is so good. Not to mention I missed it. "I like your outfit." Darren said as he sat across me with tita marinel. Then they all teased us. Saying "ayyyiiee" that made me giggle and blush at the same time. "So mag kasama kayo aalis?" Tito ask. I shook my head cause my mouth was full. "Uh,hindi po tito cause Darren wants to visit he's friends and school. While I want to shop. Alone." I said. Tito nod like understanding. "Kanya kanya pala ngayon." Tita said. I smiled and continue eating.

After the breakfast it's time for tito to rest while it's tita's duty. 10 to 6pm. She grab the keys and kiss everyone before we left. The moment tita open the door the cold breeze of Canada hug me. My hands became cold as we step out of the house so I wore my gloves. We got in on the car and tita started the engine. "Seatbelt." She reminded I pull the seatbelt and lock it at the side. "Done,tita." I said and smiled. She adjust the mirrors and do the sign of the cross.
