Confuse (chapter 56)

Anika's POV

I called gabby and told him to book me flight to France. Before he did, he kept on asking questions like "why?" & "is your daddy's ceremony's done?" Etc. I just told him to book me flight then end the call.

I'm on a bus by the way. Wearing my EarPods and ignoring their thousand calls... I don't know where I'm going. all I know was I have to get out of here. I was thinking to go to France and grab some things book a flight to Brooklyn and kept hiding. Well I'm not gonna hide forever maybe a long vacation.

I arrive at a street that's familiar to me and just continue walking. I past by a coffee shop which I use to stay for free wifi. Then I past by a bakery then afterwards are signature brands like D&G, H&M many more. I receive a txt from gabby and he said it's done. My flight is at 2 pm I look at my watch and it was 1:14 I search inside my bag if I didn't forget to bring my passport and fortunately I didn't. I hail a taxi and told him to take me to the airport.

I arrive there 15 mints before my flight. I wore my shades and put the EarPods on. I pick a song that won't irritate me and won't make me miss Darren more. First song was radioactive after that was centuries.. I turn it to shuffle while waiting my flight to be called. Then the next song was "Inlove ako sayo" by Darren Espanto. I bite my lower lip as I feel my eyes gathering water again. His voice is so sweet. Angelic, soft and comforting. Then I heard my flight so I got in and show the lady my passport.

---Darren's POV---

What does she meant she don't want me to get hurt? I'm still freaking confuse. Cool off ba kami? Cause I remember Hindi ako Nakipag break. Let's end this? What would we end? Her stupidity? The feelings? Gulong gulo na ang Utak ko. If your thinking why I didn't chase her cause I know she will just choose to get away from here, away from me. Everyone's worried for Anika it's been 5 hours. I'm pretty stuck at her bed. Thinking what she meant. I started jumping to conclusions.. I intertwine my hands together and place my arms on my knees like praying but the truth I'm thinking deeply.

"Kuya are you okay?" Lynelle ask. Peeking through the door. I smiled weakly and open my arms for a hug. She walk fast then hug me tight. "Hmm. What are you doing here nenen?" I ask her. She let go of me and wipe the tear that had fallen. "What happened between you and ate Anika? Did you fight?" She ask. She sat beside me and lean against me.. I chuckled and mess her hair. "You won't understand it.. Your too young." I said. She look at me and pout. "But maybe I can help you.." She said. I just give her a smile then mommy called her from the living room. "I'm coming!" She shouted then run to the living room.

I close the door and left her room. I breath in and exhale it. I wipe my eyes and shake my shoulders. "I'm gonna be fine.." I said. "I'm going to be okay.." I said again. Then I arrive at the living room. Everyone was quite. Everyone was tense.. Tita jasmine was on the phone. And everyone was looking at her,

"What e she doing there?" Tita said walking from left to right. I sat beside mommy who was looking at tita as well. "What's going on?" I ask in a whispery tone. Mommy look at me worriedly "it's gabby.. he said that Anika flew to France." Then her gaze was back to tita jasmine.

What e she doing at France? Is that the place she pick for hiding? E she going to stay there forever? Million questions formed in my mind. And like everybody else. I start to get paranoid.

"Okay,okay.. We'll be there.." I heard tita said. She look at me then to everybody. "Gabby said Anika ask him to book her a flight. And gabby also said that Anika is planing to go to Brooklyn." Tita said then grab her car keys from the shelf then hurried to the second floor. "Jason! Book me a flight to France now!!" Tita said to Anika's cousin. "Pati rin ako." I said to Jason and he nod. "Wag na anak.." Mommy said but I just show her a smile and hold her hand firmly. "Ma,I can't just let Anika leave.. I'm confuse what she meant earlier." I said she just nod and plant a kiss on my check. "Mag ingat ka dun anak.." Mommy said. I look at daddy and he was smiling. "Good luck kuya!"lynelle said.

We arrive at the airport I bought my passport with me. We were running cause we were running late. Earlier Jason book us a flight and it was 7:30 and now it's 7:26 so we really need to run or else maiiwan kami.

---airplane---
"Okay kalang Darren?" Tita ask. As she fasten her seatbelt. I nod while wiping my sweat. "Medyo hinihingal pa po ako sakakatakbo pero I'm okay tita.." I said smiling. "Let's pray na sana hindi pa Siya umaalis..." Tita said. It's obvious that she's nervous cause her voice is kinda shaky.. "Don't worry tita god is with us.. He'll help us.." I said to encourage her. "Sana maabutan pa natin Siya.." Tita said.

---arrive---
Agad agad naman namin hinanap si gabby. "There!" I pointed at a gabby who has his phone on his ear. We nearly run to gabby. We poke his shoulder and he turn to us "good.. I called Anika and she said she's still at her apartment but she's almost done packing.." Gabby said. "Let's go!" Tita said. We hailed a cab tita and gabby at the back while I sat at the passenger sit. "As she said she's leaving for Brooklyn.. Ano ba ang nang yari? Bakit Siya aalis?" Gabby said. I look at him on the rear view mirror. " it's been a mess lately. Carl died because of an accident then we found out he was making a letter for Anika the time when the accident occurred and now Anika's blaming her self." Tita said. "What?! Ah-eh.. Darren..Wala kang ginawa?" Gabby ask. "Anong Wala? She lock her self in her room for 2 days and I was the only one who would wait for her to open. I would sing for her tell her things just to comfort her.. And now your telling me Wala akong ginawa? Eh Nakipag break nga Siya sakin! Kahit hindi ko gusto! Tapos maririnig ko tong Wala akong ginawa? Ako nga yata ang pinaka takot sa lahat na Baka may gawing masama si Anika sa sarili niya! Ako nga tong palaging nag hihinatay sa labas nang kwarto niya nag chachaga! Kung nasasaktan Siya nasasaktan din ako. " I said almost crying and almost shouting. God, Im so stressed...

"Sorry... Hindi naman sa ganun... Alam kong may ginawa ka--" but I cut him off.
"Oh,bakit kapa nag tanong eh alam mo naman eh?" I said irritated. "Darren,tama na, chill ka lang.." Tita said. I look at her and bow my head. "Sorry." Then I turn away. "I'll called Anika if nandun pa Siya sa apartment niya.." I look at gabby from the rear mirror.

"Anika.. Nanjan kapa sa apartment mo?---ah---pupunta kasi ako jan---Wala lang bored kasi ako---bakit ka pala pupunta sa Brooklyn?---- anong bakasyon?---bakit hindi kasama yung mommy mo or si Darren? (He made an eye contact with me using the rear mirror) --- magastos? Since when did you care about money?--- meet you at a restaurant nalang before you leave--- okay dun nalang bye!" Then he hung up.

"Okay dun tayo mag kikita kita sa favorite niyang restaurant bukas. Matutulog pa daw Siya. Napagod daw siya eh.." Gabby said. I flash him a sincere smile. "Thanks gabby.. And sorry for the way I acted earlier.." I said. "Sus,okay lang yun. Concern ka talaga para Kay Christina este Anika. Sorry nasanay akong tawagin siyang Christina." Gabby said. I just smiled and return my focus on the road.

Your not getting away this time Anika.
