Stuck (chapter 33)

Anika's POV

Since the weather is bad the pictorial was canceled and maybe if tomorrow's weather turns good we'll continue, but now I'm stuck at the hotel room with espanto. We didn't talk Infact we don't talk at all. He's busy with his phone while I'm busy eating strawberries deep in Chocolate. While watching a horror movie.

And while bearing the awkwardness.

Honey and lynelle are not here.their with gabby on the swimming area. Those two just know how to escape some situations. Then Darren cleared his throat. Sometimes I catch him looking at me. And sometimes he would ask me. Like "when will our pictorial start?" Can't he notice that his so obvious.?

Suddenly the aircon and tv shot down. "Brownout?" Darren ask. I nod and he look at his phone. "Shoot! My phone only has 4% left." I just looked at him continue eating strawberries. "So..." He said rubbing the back of his head. I was waiting if what would he say... But he inhale and put his phone down and lay down on his bed.

And. I was left disappointed.

I was about to grab another strawberries when I ran out. So I stand up and walk to the refrigerator only to found out I already ate them all. So I have no choice but just to sit at the couch as I look at the laying espanto. Then he noticed. "Whatcha looking at?" He said but I just roll my eyes at him. He stand up and stretch. He was muscular and tall. Handsome and god those eyes. He's hair is so soft. I can tell. And the way he dress he still have the taste. "Nothing." I answered. He smirk and walk towards me. My heart was skipping a beat as one by one foot came near me. Till he bent down so we have the same height. "You change." He said. I "can't" look him in the eye. "What do you mean?" I said still avoiding the eye contact. "You change.... Your name." He said and sat beside me. A big puff escape and he chuckled. "It's none of your business." I said he smiled and said. "Please don't get mad if I do something to you." I look at him and then he....

Hug me.

My eyes were widely open and I can smell his perfume. My arms were frozen but the way I feel it feels like home. And things just froze. He let me go and in that moment I got back to my senses. I back away and fold my arms. He was kinda sad but pleasant. And he's eyes shows sadness and emptiness or hollow. But he keep it all in, in a smile.
"I'm sorry I just missed you." He said then smiled. But I didn't answer instead I just stared at him. Like traumatized. Suddenly I can't speak like something's holding my tongue. He stand up and return to his bed. He sat down and look at me. "I guess you easily moved on." He said tearing up. But I could only look at him.

You don't know how hard it is to forget you. You don't know how many nights I would cry because of you. You have no idea how badly I want to see you,to hug you. I was still stuck on you. I was still hoping that you would end up with me. I still want you....... I still love you. But every time I remember the day you broke your promise I want to shout,to run away,wish someone would drown me or wake me up in this nightmare. But things happen. We can't fix a broken glass anymore we can't straight a crumpled paper but sometimes how I wish you knew the things I knew.

"What makes you say that?" I said in a cracking small voice. He chuckled and said. "Well you look fine.. And happy." He said. "Is that how you see me?" I ask. He didn't answer he look at the floor and sniff. And wipe his face. And look at the ceiling like preventing a tear to fall. "You have no idea." I said. Then he look at me and our eyes met. He has reddish eyes and his nose turned red. " you don't know how many painful days I have to conquer! You don't know how many sleepless nights would past every time I remember you leaving!" He said almost shouting. "Bakit ikaw lang ba ang Nasaktan? Ikaw lang ba ang nag mahal? You know the reason why I left!" I said pointing at every word I said. We turn silent and the only thing you can hear is our sobs.
"What did I do wrong Darren?" I ask. "I'll admit it wasn't your fault. It was me." He said wiping he's nose. "You already learned your lesson." I said. He shook he's head and said. "No,I found out the reason." I give him a question look. "The real reason was I was jealous of kevin.--but I cut him off. "You don't even know who kevin is." I said. Then he continue "I know he's gay." My eyes widen and said "how did you know?" He smiled and said "it was the moment of your flight when he came here,he explain things to me and he told me that he's the "thing." He said then he continued. " hinabol pa kita nun.. Pero naka sakay kana sa eroplano... You didn't saw me." He said. I wipe my eyes and said.

"I saw you." He's face lift up. "But the flight attendant won't let me get off. I even try calling you but the flight attendant stole my phone. But I thought you only chase me to see me fly off so hindi narin ako bumaba." He has this unreadable face on. "Do you have any idea what trouble I got into?" He said. "Bakit inutusan ba kita to chase after me? It's your fault kaya it's your loss not mine.." I said then I stand up and said. "Why would I bother explain things to you? I'm outa here" I said as I walk over to the door. But when I twist the doorknob it won't open! I try twisting it to the other side but negative! "I can't open the door!" He notice that I was struggling he walk towards the door and try to open it. But he also didn't open it.

Just great! I'm stuck with an annoying person in a stupid awkward situation in a freaking 4 walled room. Will this situation get any worse?

"I guess were both stuck here.." He said then back away. "Guess? We really are stuck here! And brownout pa! Edi wow!" I said. We stayed silent and didn't bother each other's business. We both stayed in our own beds and didn't look at each other. I was falling asleep when suddenly the aircon made a sound. Then the tv suddenly turn on. So it means May light na ulit! Hindi na mainit! But since I was very sleepy pinatay ko yung tv. He didn't move so it means that maybe he's already asleep.

After like 3 hours it became cold and I can't bear it. So I tried putting it to minimum. But kahit patayin ko ayaw.

"Nasira?" Darren ask. "I don't know.. Ayaw ma off eh." I said. "Baka mamaya ma off nalang yan." He said then continue to sleep. I tried sleeping but I'm having chills. I'm even wearing a jacket! Ayaw parin. Then I felt a hot thing beside me. It was Darren hugging me I was pushing him away but he just hold my arms and put it against his chest. "Cooperate, we Need body heat.." He said but I was sleepy so I didn't bother fighting with him. He pull me closer to him and I felt warm as he hug me, my hand against his chest.

Hello!! O mee gheed! Hahaha if I was in that situation kahit hindi na ma open basta kasama ko si Darren at my pagkain sapat na! Hahahahaha lol!
