Forgiveness (Chapter 46)

Anika's POV

Our pictorial was done 1 hour ago. And now Darren and I are on our way home. Him playing on the phone while I'm looking at of the window. I've been thinking about the dream I had last night. It was something new to me. I've never cry while asleep or felt my heart race like that when I woke up. It's like I was freaked out. "You okay?" Darren ask his eyes never left the screen. "Yeah." I answered. "What's on your mind?" He ask again. I was thinking if I should tell him or not. Cause if I tell him maybe he would say it was just a dream,it's not true or maybe it will sound like a joke. And if I won't tell him maybe he'll think I'm keeping a secret from him. "Things." I answered. Feeling guilty "What kind of things?" He ask again. But I spot a girl standing wearing a white dress had a long hair. "Stop the car!" I said then the driver step on the breaks hard making Darren startle.. While I open the door to look. But it wasn't there. Darren came out of the car on the other side and called my name.. But I was too busy looking for the girl.

"Anika watch out!" Darren said and pull me to him. Hugging me. I blink continuously breathing rapidly. Thinking that I was almost hit by a truck. "What were you thinking?!" Darren said. I look at the street where the girl i saw was standing but it was empty. "What were you thinking Anika?!" Darren said again. Shacking me this time "I'm-I'm sorry I was just looking for a girl.." I said pointing at the street. He look at it and put his warm hands at my cheeks.. "Anika you almost got your self killed because of a girl who wasn't standing there.." He said. "But I saw her there!" I said pointing at it. "Get in the car.." He said. He's voice sounds like he's ordering me.He was dragging me while I was staring at the spot where I saw the girl.

I got in and slide to the other side. He close the door and told the driver to drive again. "Namalik mata kalang.." Darren said. "No I didn't." I said. He look at me and said. "Why does it matter to you? Who's this girl you're talking about?" He said kinda mad. I breath deep and released. "I don't think you'll believe me.." I said. He cross his arms and lean. "Try me." He said raising his left eyebrow. "I had a dream last night.. And well I saw this girl and she was wearing a white dress and her hair was long.. She looked like she needed my help. But I can't remember my dream..." I said. "A dream? God, Anika.." He said particularly rolling his eyes and smacking his forehead. "See? I knew you wouldn't believe me.." I said. Looking away. "You almost got your self killed because of a girl you saw in your dream!" He said almost shouting. "Well I--- but ugh! Never mind! You still won't believe me.." I said rubbing my forehead like I have a head ache. "Anika it was just a dream! It was created by your brain!" He said. I glare at him. "Fine! Believe what you believe.. But if you got your self killed again I swear I'm gonna consult you to a psychologist.." He said. "So you think I'm a psycho?" I ask him. "No! It's just that--" but I cut him off. "Enough. Stop it. Let's drop this conversation." I said like a boss. He open his mouth then close it again. So he just sigh. Looking pissed.

After like 30 mints of silence. I close my eyes and breath deep. Think of apologizing cause half of what he said was true. "Sorry... It was just.. Unusual for me to have dreams like that." I said then sliding next to him while opening his arms for a hug.. More like nilalambing ko Siya... He smiled and put his arms around me. "Next time kasi.. Before you said to stop the car in the middle of he road.. Make sure na Walang dumadaan na truck.." He said then pinch my nose.. I grin and plant a kiss on his cheeks.

It was already 4pm.. And the sky looks beautiful because of it's color. "Orangey color likey peach.." We turn silent and just chill.. Not every minute we talk. Sometimes we just let our selves quiet...

We arrive at the Espanto house.. Lynelle welcomed me in a bear hug while tito open the door for us.. "How's the pictorial?" Tito ask. "Good but tiring.." Darren said. "Ate Anika! Honey called kanina.. She was looking for you." Lynelle said showing her iPad. "Really? Well what did she say?" I say then we all sat at the couch. "Well she said she miss you and she also said that tito Aladdin wants to talk to you.." Lynelle said. I look at Darren and he rub my back. "Maybe it's time you have a heart to heart talk with your dad." Darren said. He already knows the story.. I just showed a half smile..
