Nine.

We get to the playground and a few other kids are there. Milly goes off and plays with a small group of kids. I'm glad she can instantly make friends. I want her powers.

I look at the envelope clutched in my hands. Maybe I should read it now. I turn it to the front where Dear Aaliyah. I sigh and rip it open.

Aaliyah,
I know what happened at the movie theatre and it was stupid. When you see me again I will explain everything. I don't want to explain it through a letter, it will be better in person.

As you already know I'm in the army and most probably on my way there right now. I'm sorry for making this decision and I probably hurt you by doing this. I'm sorry.

From the second I first saw you, you looked beautiful. Your hair, your eyes, everything about you was amazing. I wanted to kiss you at that moment ever so badly. Then I got talking to you and found out your past.

This letter isn't suppose to be sad but I think it is cause maybe I won't see you again. Let's pray I will though. It's a hard world out there Lia, I know that.

I'm sorry for leaving you, I hope you would forgive me. I live you Aaliyah, forever and always.

I didn't even realise I was crying. There were tears all over the paper which made the ink run a bit. Milly must have seen me upset cause she came over to me.

"Lia what's wrong?" She grabs my hand.

"Nothing baby." She gives me a confused look.

"I'm tired, can we go home?" I nod and pick her up. I walk back to the room and make us a little snack.

"Lia can you tell me a story?" I nod and smile at her.

"Once upon a time there was a young girl who lived with her evil mother. She didn't want to live with her anymore so she ran away. The young girl left something precious behind but promised to go back for it. The young girls name was Belle. Belle wondered through the kingdom of Flowers only to find herself passing by a small store which sold magic potions. Inside that store, Belle found a handsome young man who was looking right back at Belle." I can tell Milly is into the story cause she's wide eyed and smiling. "The handsome man walked over to Belle and held her hand. He kissed her hand and they walked around the kingdom together. The boy told Belle that he was the prince of the kingdom. Belle grew sad knowing they would've be together cause of the law. Belle couldn't bare to see the prince anymore so she left him. Years passed and he still hasn't found her. Belle felt lonely and sad. She decided to make herself happy by going back to the kingdom. On her journey there she l stopped by a fellow on a horse. She carefully looked at who it was and guess what?"

"What? Who was it Lia?"

"The prince was on the horse looking for Belle. Together they rode back to the kingdom where they lived happily ever after." Milly starts clapping.

"That was a good story Lia. Tell me another one." I laugh. I tell her a few more stories before it starts to get dark. She grows sleepy as well. I pick her up and place her in the bed. She falls a sleep fast as usual. I sigh and read the letter Cameron wrote me. I kiss it and put it in the envelope again. I put it in my night stand and fall a sleep myself next to Milly.
