Andrea

I wake up on the couch the next day completely disoriented. It takes me a few moments to recollect myself, and peel my back off of Tyler's chest.

If you'd like any context, I'd be glad to enlighten you.

So after we struggled to make the noodles not taste plain, we scarfed them down and decided a movie would be quite relaxing.

Tyler and I usually sat relatively close, but this time he had his arm around my shoulder so I was leaning against his chest. A few movies into our little marathon and I was dead asleep, I guess he was too. It explains why I'm here with him and not in bed or anything.

I grab my phone off the coffee table and notice it's 10:00 a.m already.

Tyler stirs for a second in his sleep, before opening his eyes.

"Morning. " I greet him. "I have plans for today, that is if you want to stick around?" I ask quietly, looking back at his tired eyes.

"Depends.. WhT time is it?"

"10" I reply.

"Enlighten me on these plans then." He smiles, sitting up further.

"We go to the hardware store.." I start, turning around to face him. "We pick out some paint, then we come home and paint my bed room!"

"Won't your family get mad?" He asks, laughing at my idea.

"They said I could paint my room anytime."

"Probably if they're home!" He shouts in a joking tone.

"Come on! What else are we gonna do?" I wonder.

"Can we at least eat first?" He asks.

"Yeah." I jump off the couch and make my way to the kitchen. I dig into the fridge and pull out a raspberry turnover package and throw it at Tyler. His quick reflexes help him catch the box. Once he sees the packaging he quickly nods his head an dips the box open.

We separate the dough and put the raspberry filling inside, before closing them and putting them inside the oven.

"I'm going to get ready while they cook." I let Tyler know as he sits at the island on his phone. He looks up and nods at me, smiling slightly. I could tell he was still tired.

I walk down the hallway to my bedroom and pull off my sweat pants and t shirt. I put on a different bra and pair of underwear and pulled on some leggings and a big sweater.

I go to the bathroom and brush my hair and put on some eye liner and brush my teeth quickly.

I get back out to Tyler to see him struggling to get the turnovers out of the burning hot oven.

"I have oven mitts you know." I laugh at his guilty face.

He looks at the dish rag he's clutching to try and take out the baking sheet with the turn overs on it.

I open a drawer and place the gloves in his hands. He lets out a small laugh and takes the turn overs out, shutting off the oven all together.

We sit there in silence, waiting for them to cool down so we can eat them. It's nearing 10:30 now, so we still have a bunch of time. We decided earlier that we would stop off at his place first so he can change his clothes and get a pair of old ones since we will be painting then we can go down to the hardware store. I think I might use the money that was left because I'm not going to be ordering a pizza. Or I might dig up some old birthday money.

We munch on a few of the turnovers, deciding to keep some for later. I go to my room and get some money as well as the money from the counter and with that we leave I go to our first destination; Tyler's house.

We walk not fast but not slow. The walk to Tyler's was peaceful and not as cold as I anticipated it to be. It was calm and peaceful. The trees were now bare of leaves, as those were scattered on the ground everywhere.

The sun was out but a cool breeze flew through the air and tickled my exposed face and neck.

We arrive at his house and walk inside.

"Hey mom!" He shouts as we both begin to take our shoes off.

"Hi honey!" She calla from the kitchen. "Did you two have fun?"

"Yeah, uh. Andrea is with me right now. I'm just stopping in to get a change of clothes." He says, leading me to the kitchen to say hi to his mother.

"Hi Andrea." She smiles, placing some dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

"Hi Kelly." I say kindly, giving her a warm smile.

"What did you kids get up to last night?" She asks, wiping the counters with a wet dishcloth.

"We made a bunch of pasta and watched some movies. Then this morning we made some turnovers, ugh. I should have brought the rest over here!" I say, mentally cursing myself.

"Im gonna go change my clothes and stuff one sec." Tyler says, shooting us both a smile.

"How are your parents?" She asks.

"Good, they're visiting my step mothers sister right now. She's in the next town over." I explain, nodding as I speak. "How have you all been here?"

"Really good. You can come over more often you know, our house is always open." She trails.

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you." I smile. Tyler emerges into the kitchen with a new fresh pair of clothes on and his backpack swung aroud his shoulders.

"We're going out, I'll make sure to send Tyler home at some point tonight." I say, letting out a small laugh.

"Don't worry about that honey, you can come sleep here tonight if your family is out of town, we would be glad to have you."

Oh my god his family is the cutest, they are so kind. I'm considering her offer to be honest. I don't want to take Tyler away from another night but I don't want to be alone.

"Thank you so much."

"We'll see you later mom!" Tyler says, grabbing my hand and leading me back to the door where we put our shoes on and start our trek to the hardware store.
