Andrea

A few weeks later

Tyler: whatcha up to dude?

Me: 'dude' really???

Tyler: sorry sorry, whatcha up to man?

Me: ugh. ;) and I'm painting

Tyler: but its midnight?

Me: midnight is the best time to paint, if you weren't aware :p

Tyler: ohh, my mistake

Me: yeah nerd

Tyler: what are you painting?

Me: a sunset!

Tyler: can I see??

Me: when its finished :)

I set down my phone momentarily and began stroking my brush along the canvas once again. I used to paint loads but I stopped. Now getting back into it gave me a sense of happiness and wonderful feeling of nostalgia.

I finish painting the dark green grass under the sun peaking over top of the grassy hills. I make sure to add a few blades of grass that stand out.

I wash my brush around in the cup of water and dry it off with a paper towel. I dab it in the yellow and begin the sun I paint the outline then paint in the inside. I grab some orange and dab that on, mixing the little bit of orange with the yellow that dominates it giving it a slight orange tint.

Tyler: okay :)

Me: what are you up to?

Tyler: laying in bed, might watch some Netflix. How's the painting coming along

Me: better than expected!!

I set down my phone and start painting the sky behind it. I start with the yellows and oranges, soon transitioning into light pink, dark pink and then purple. I blend them togehter so it doesn't look choppy.

Tyler: I'm excited to see :)

Me: its done, ready???

Tyler: yeah!!

Me: photo attachment send.

Tyler: woah !!! That's gorgeous. Reminds me of someone I know

Me: awh

Tyler: don't you agree? Josh is gorgeous!

Me: yeah wow!!

Tyler: for real though, I never knew my girlfriend was that good of an artist :)

I re read the word girlfriend a few times. Am I Tyler's girlfriend? I mean, he hasn't asked me and we haven't really discussed it. Since when? How long do I tell people we've been dating for? I think I might ask.

Me: girlfriend huh?

Tyler: you're my girlfriend, right? I mean after the kiss and what we told each other

Me: that's true, just you never asked and I wasn't sure. I was meaning to ask

Tyler: can you video call?

My heart skips a beat at that. What is he going to say to me?

Me: sure

Tyler Joseph is now calling

I press accept and wait. It says connecting for a few moments before I turn up the volume.

His face suddenly appears on the screen. He looks nervous, his cheeks are flushed. He looks incredibly adorable.

"Hey." He giggles.

"Hey." I mock, slightly as awkward as he sounded.

"I got a question to ask you.." He mumbles, a smile fighting ta way onto his lips. I roll my eyes at him, jokingly of course.

"Shoot." I say, collapsing back onto my bed, my phone at hand.

"Andrea will you be my girlfriend?" He says softly, biting his bottom lip between his teeth. Damn. I want to kiss him so badly right now.

"I guess." I joke, smirking at him. A look of worry flashes across his face for a moment, then leaves. He laughs out loud and shakes his head. "I'd love to Tyler." I honestly reply.

"Sick!!" He shouts. Then slams his hand over his mouh.

"Tyler!! Your family is sleeping!" I scold. He laughs quietly and shrugs.

"You're so adorable." I say, not realizing I said it out loud. I blush deeply as he just smirks at ms.

"Am I now?"

"Well yeah, you dork." I try to cover it up with teasing him but it doesn't work anymore. He just smiles.

"My room is lonely." I mumble.

"Want me to come over?" He asks. I laugh for a second then shake my head.

"Don't know how great that'll look in the morning when Laurie walks in without knocking, like she always does." I explain.

"Very true." He agrees. "We can still hangout tomorrow though." He adds. Tomorrow is Saturday, thank god. I'm excited to just relax and see Tyler. We might get together with Josh and Ella as well.

"What will we get up to tomorrow?" I ask, thinking about how we didn't actually plan on what to do, we only planned on hanging out.

"No idea, we can all go bowling, of on an adventure. Or have a movie marathon, get drunk in a basement.."

"Drunk in a basement?"

"Have you ever been drunk?" He wonders.

"Once when I was 14 at a family party. Emily," I scowl at the name. "Stole some alcohol from her mom. She brought it over. Long story short, we drank a bunch and I puked the next day." I shake my head at the stupid memory. "But now I feel like I would know more about how much to have and how to not be a mess."

I love talking with Tyler and making him laugh. He makes conversation flow. He makes me nervous, but the type of nervous where I feel good, as if I can speak fluently to him without not knowing what to say. He makes it so easy. I can connect with him. I don't feel scared or worried around him. I don't feel sad any more. He brings light and joy into my life. More than anybody else has in the passed few years.

My family love him as well. They can see the positive impact he has on me. They're happy to see me smiling again, swing me smile with Tyler.

"Andrea?" He waves his hand across the screen.

"Sorry, zoned out." I laugh.

"Whats in your mind?" He asks genuinely, smiling happily.

"You. And how you make me more happy than anyone else in the world has ever made me feel." I admit, looking down at my bed sheets that are covering my naked legs.

"I'm glad I make you happy Andrea. If I'm being honest, that was my goal since the first day we met."
