Chapter 16- Poison? What Do you mean Poison?

Daliah and the rest of the group knew something was up with the eggs. By now Dakota had instantly gone from happy to extremely irritable. They couldn't even talk to her by this point without offending her in someway. Through out the school day they had also noticed other giant mood swings in everyone at the school. Sam took it upon him self to march down to the headmasters office, dragging the rest of the group with, to speak about these 'moods'. Sam refused to stop when the Secretary told him not to go in there and he barged right in
"Headmaster. We must speak. Immediately." Sam said in a tone the group had never heard before.
" Ah why hello there. I was waiting for you three to come in and exactly for the reason you have come." the headmaster made the group sit down "You see you are the only 3 smart enough to pass my test. As you may have noticed your classmates have changed well it is because of hydrogenated axi berries placed in the eggs you have chose not to eat."
"You mean you poisoned the school to see who was smart enough to live?" Daliah asked standing up
"It is not a deadly berry just poisonous, it just causes lack of power and mood swings. At the moment you are now basically on an island of mortals." headmaster said
" poison? what do you mean poison?" Sam said outraged "you mean to tell me that you could've....." he said trailing off
"You children will realize soon enough. One of you already has." The headmaster said walking out of the room.
"Its all a game." Jackson muttered
"Jackson why do you keep saying that" Daliah said annoyed as she has heard this many times
"No, that's what she wants you to realize. Its all a game." Jackson said walking off with a smirk.

Authors Note
So a couple things 1) what do you guys think I'm getting bored. 2) Sorry chapters have been short I hate it too. 3) Should I do a chapter on how other main characters got to the academy? Or continue the way I have been?
