Chapter 35 - Opertunitys and The 'L' word

The headmaster gestured the two to chairs. Jackson sat down and Daliah stood behind the chair refusing to sit down.
"Daliah if you don't mind I think you should step out" The headmaster asked
"Sorry ma'am but I am staying here" Daliah protested. reluctantly the headmaster agreed to let Daliah stay
"That Damned stunt you pulled Jackson was idiotic and you could've revealed the academy" The headmaster angrily said sitting down in her chair
" It wasn't his fault it was the new kid Elliot. He started a fight with Jackson." Daliah said
"Daliah could you kindly stop talking" the headmaster said interrupting "As I was saying you could've been caught. Thanks to you hurting Daliah you stopped and saved yourself. Jackson you are the most powerful student i have ever seen in my 60 years as headmaster."
"Well headmaster if that's all you have to say I thank you for the compliment but that is just a waste of time" Jackson said
"I'm going to get straight to the point here" the headmaster explained "You see I'm retiring next year and I would like you to be headmaster of the Academy"
"I'll have to think about that " Jackson said standing up from his chair
"That is absolutely fine but I need an answer by next week" The headmaster said guiding Jackson and Daliah out the door.

"What do you mean you'll think about it?" Daliah said as her and Jackson walked out of the waiting room "That is an amazing......"
"Daliah" Jackson said interrupting "What do you mean you think you love me?"
"Well umm what's not clear about it " Daliah asked completely changing her tone of voice
"How about the think part. How are you not sure" he asked
" Its not that I'm not sure it's just I don't know if you feel the same way" Daliah said staring at the ground. The conversation had just become awkward.
"Well Daliah say it" Jackson said
Daliah stared at the ground "what do you mean say it"
"Say the words"
"You mean..."
"Uhuh"
"Like the 'L' word" Daliah said starting to giggle
"Yes the 'L' word" Jackson said mocking And starting to laugh too
" Lobster"
"Wrong one Dal"
"I like you"
"Wrong too"
"I love you?" Daliah said questioning
"I love you too" Jackson said wrapping Daliah in his arms.
"That's the right words" Jackson said joking and kissing Daliah.
