Jessica stared at her pastel-pink ceiling blankly as she lay on her back at her queen-sized bed at home. It’s been exactly 6 days, 7 hours, 9 minutes and approximately 34 seconds ever since she found out about Taeyeon’s impending marriage to Tiffany. Furthermore, it has also been 5 days, 7 hours, 9 minutes and approximately 34 seconds that she realized that she dearly missed her best friend whom she’s been seamlessly avoiding for a reason that now seems so stupid even to her.
“Yah! This is getting silly!” Suddenly sitting up, Jessica said out loud.
“What am I doing?! I should be happy for her! Not simmering in bed like some heartbroken fool when truth be told, I’m not even sure if my heart IS broken in the first place!”
And with that, Jessica jumped out of bed and decided to fix herself up to go and talk to Tiffany. As she looked at her full-length mirror however, she gasped at the sight of her limp hair that hasn’t been conditioned for days, her face that is in dire need of a facial and legs that are begging for a wax. XD
“Oh my gosh where’s my gorgeous self?! I need to go pamper myself pronto! Tiffany would have to wait!”
After five minutes of wrecking havoc at the streets of Seoul in her convertible, Jessica screeched to a halt in front of f(x) spa. The receptionist looked up in alarm as a scary blonde girl with a wild look in her eyes pushed the girl she was talking to and approached her desk.
“Please! It’s an emergency!” Jessica said breathlessly as she pointed at her hair.
“Do you have an appointment today Miss?”
“It’s a matter of life and death woman!”
“Oh look! Suddenly, there’s a free massage table!” the receptionist cried tearfully as her collar was now damaged beyond repair at Jessica’s grip. “Please proceed to room 22.”
“Thank you! You’re my hero!” And with that Jessica hugged the now confused receptionist who wondered if the blonde girl had hormonal imbalance.
“I forgot to tell her she’d have to share with another client though...”
Attempt # 1:
Just as Jessica was getting comfortable on her massage table...
“Sica? What a wonderful surprise!” a familiar voice beside Jessica exclaimed.
“Why oh my why?!” Jessica cried out as she recognized the voice of her least favorite person at the moment.
Sooyoung tilted her head at Jessica whilst the masseuse did her job and exclaimed cockily, “You should be thankful princess, not a lot of people have the privilege of seeing me without my clothes.”
“And I bet half the nation would disagree with you.” Jessica retorted.
“So...did Tiffany tell you?” Sooyoung asked, referring to the business proposal regarding the wedding photoshoot.
At the sound of her best friend’s name however, Jessica suddenly tensed, one that didn’t go unnoticed to Sooyoung’s inquisitive eyes. “Tell me what?”
“The magazine feature, silly! You’d be the front cover! Just say yes already!”
“Do you know how SAD it is to plan your own dream wedding when you’re not married let alone dating?!”
“Hmm..How about I find you the perfect partner in exchange for the shoot then?” Sooyoung suggested in an attempt to lighten up the mood.
Jessica paused for a few minutes before considering it, “No.”
“WHAT?! Most people would kill for that deal!”
“And I’m not most people! How could I trust you after distributing my pictures all over the place?!” Jessica said in a huff before standing up with her towel wrapped around her and leaving the room.
“Sica WAIT!” Sooyoung was about to stand up when the masseuse put a rock at her back.
Wincing in pain, Sooyoung said heatedly, “Yah! What’s with the hot rock?!”
“It’s part of the massage miss.”
“Oh. Yeah. Of course. I knew that.”
Attempt # 2:
Jessica bobbed her head to the music as she sped away along the highway in her red convertible. The breeze felt wonderful on her face and she smiled to herself as she sang to her favorite song,
(just got it from a random site, not sure if it's accurate ^^)
Neomu banjjak banjjak nooni booshuh no no no no no
Neomu kkamjjak kkamjjak nollan naneun oh oh oh oh oh
Neomu jjarit jjarit momi ddeullyuh gee gee gee gee gee
O juhjeun nunbit (oh yeah~) oh joeun hyanggee (oh yeah yeah yeah~)
(I'll hit you if you don't know this XD HAHA)
“JESHIKAAAA!!!”
Jessica’s eyes went round as she looked at her left side in shock and saw Sooyoung waving furiously with her head out the window of her pick-up as Yoona just smiled from the driver’s seat.
“Yah! What the heck are you doing here?”
“Waving at you from my car, doi.” Sooyoung stuck her tongue out playfully. “Now slow down and listen to my business proposition!”
“Never!”
“I told you I’ll find you the perfect lover in return! But I doubt it’ll be as good as me!”
“I don’t want your used goods Sooyoung!” Jessica shouted back.
“Why don’t you just date me then?! I’m perfect!” Sooyoung laughed out loud at her joke but had to stop abruptly as an unexpected flyer suddenly hit her face. “WHAT THE !)(#*_*$&!)”
“Serves you right!” Jessica yelled as she stepped on her gas pedal and sped away laughing as Sooyoung’s car ate her dust.
Attempt # 3:
“Come on Sica! Only 2 more kilometers and I’d have burned 350 calories!” Jessica panted as she jogged away at the treadmill that was groaning at the length of time it’s been in use.
“Looking good Princess.” whistled Sooyoung as she stepped on the one beside Jessica as the latter looked at her in shock.
“How the hell did you know where I exercise?!”
“We’ve been using the same gym for five years, stupid.”
“Thank god I only noticed now then.” Jessica smirked. “What do you want this time?”
“Your hand in marriage.” Sooyoung said seriously.
Jessica suddenly stopped and stared as Sooyoung burst in laughter.
“JUST KIDDING! The magazine cover! And in turn, the perfect lover!”
“I told you I don’t want to!” Jessica said as she hopped of the treadmill to use some weights.
“But it’s a great deal!” Sooyoung turned to follow Jessica but found her way blocked with interested women who’s been staring at her body in admiration since she arrived.
“You can look but I'd have to decide if you can touch.” Sooyoung said playfully grinning from ear to ear.
Attempt # 4:
“Oh my God, when will this end?!!” Jessica felt like shouting as she walked the streets in annoyance as the shikshin followed her for a good 15 minutes and counting.
“Sica, please slow down.”
“Leave me alone Sooyoung.”
“Come on! You have to admit it’s a good deal!”
“I am never EVER going to wear a wedding dress unless it’s on my wedding day!!!!” Jessica cried out in frustration as she turned to look at Sooyoung.
“But it’s just a photoshoot! It’ll be a good marketing move for your business! Plus, I promised you I’d find you the perfect guy right?!”
Jessica ignored her and kept on walking.
“Look! If you do this for me, I’ll never bother you again.”
“Hah! As if I could trust you on that one.” Jessica crossed the street in an attempt to get away.
“PLEASE JESSICA JUNG!” Sooyoung kneeled down in the middle of the road halfway creating complete pandemonium as a car or two had to swerve out of the way so as to avoid her.
“GET OUT OF THE WAY IDIOT!”
“YOU WANNA GET KILLED?!”
“Yah! Stand up you dummy!” Jessica frantically ran at Sooyoung and pulled her before more vehicles came their way.
“Not until you agree, Sica.” Sooyoung said adamantly as she stared at Jessica in determination while she was still kneeling down on bended knee.
“Just say yes already!” A bystander yelled who thought that Sooyoung was proposing.
Seeing as there was no way she could pull the shikshin due to her smaller frame, Jessica resigned herself to the inevitable, “Ugh! Alright alright! I’ll do your stupid photoshoot!”
“You will?! Really??! You won’t regret it I swear!!” Sooyoung jumped up in joy and hugged a non-too happy Jessica.
“Just make sure that the lover you’re talking about is worth it, shikshin.” Jessica reluctantly said as they went out of the road.
“Of course it’s worth it! Don’t you trust me!? Unless it's me that you really want?” Sooyoung wiggled her eyebrows suggestively as she did a dorky dance in front of Jessica while other people stared.
“Spare me from your vanity.” Jessica rolled her eyes and yet couldn’t help but laugh at Sooyoung’s antics.
“There it is.” Sooyoung said gently as she suddenly stopped joking.
“What is?” Sica asked confusely.
“Your genuine smile. Haven’t seen it since Tiffany told you she’s marrying Taeyeon.” Sooyoung said quietly.
“How did you-”
“Never mind how I knew. The fact is, I really think you should patch things up with her. You shouldn’t let such a deep friendship go to waste, Sica.” Sooyoung suddenly held Jessica’s hand in an attempt to comfort her.
“Oh that...” Jessica said confusedly as she’s not used to the shikshin not teasing her. “Don’t worry, I’m working on it...”
After a few awkward minutes, Sooyoung suddenly decided to break the ice.
“Say Sica...”
“Hmm??”
“What do you say we seal our deal with a kiss to cheer you up?”
