My Happy Ending

Chapter 16

 

:::Sooyoung's apartment:::

Three figures lay sleeping on the floor with more than a few dozen newly-developed pictures scattered haphazardly around them.

*Doorbell rings*

(after a few minutes)

“Huh?! Whazzat?!” Yoona jerked awake from the carpeted floor wiping the drool from her face.

“Someone’s at the door....” Sooyoung’s muffled voice could be heard from the sofa and the shikshin lifted one lazy arm pointing at the entrance.

“Ughh...Hara go answer it...” Yoona poked another sleeping figure beside her whose hair was thrown carelessly about her face.

“And I’m supposed to be the guest around here...” Hara sleepily ambled her way across the room to open the door, pulling down her shirt in the process. “What?”

“About time! You guys had me waiting out here for 20 minutes already!” Sunny scoffed before entering the room.

“Whatever.” Hara went back to her previous position on the floor planning to get back to sleep.

“What happened in here?” the bunny asked before gingerly removing the pictures on the sofa and sitting on Sooyoung’s back.

“We stayed up all night trying to develop all the pictures that we took.” Yoona replied trying to stifle a yawn as she sat up reaching over a bag of chips that lay on the coffee table.

“Yah! Move over Soonkyu!” the shikshin jerked awake and pushed off the bunny who stuck her tongue out playfully.

“Oh good you’re awake. I need you to take these pictures for Jessica to look through.” Sunny threw a couple of glossy covers which the shikshin caught by reflex.

“Why me?” 

“Because I know you want to.” Sunny winked as she sat down on the floor next to Hara who promptly sat up to make room.

“I can come with Sooyoung if you want.” Hara volunteered whilst rubbing her eyes but was stopped by the bunny.

“Nuh uh. You’re coming with me. From what I’ve heard from Yoona here, you have a knack of shooting unconventional pictures. I might need your expertise for our next issue.”

Blinking in confusion, Hara looked at Sunny as if she sprouted a new head, “You’re asking me....to work with you for your next issue...?”

“Yep. That sounds about right.”

“I don’t come cheap you know.” Hara smirked, tilting her head in Sunny’s direction who was right beside her.

“Name your price girlie.” Sunny leaned closer blowing at Hara’s face playfully giving the latter a full blast of her perfume.

“Can’t you wait until we’re all fully awake before you throw us your chores?” Sooyoung interrupted annoyed as she took a handful of Yoona’s chips.

“It’s halfway past lunch already you bum!” Sunny exclaimed hitting Sooyoung with a pillow before looking over at Yoona who was still munching away. “And you! Take these magazine lay-outs to Seohyun to weed through for Jessica’s article.”

Frowning in response, Yoona crossed her arms in defiance, “Why me?”

“Because you have to. Don’t think I didn’t notice that you two have been dancing on each others’ toes recently.”

“There’s nothing to talk about.” Yoona said nonchalantly.

Hara snorted before standing up and stretched, giving the three a wonderful view of her slim waist.
