Chapter 44

(This chapter gets intense!)

The doctor came back in with a nurse and they were looking at the ultra sound screen.

"What's wrong?"I asked. "There is something wrong with the monitor,Its not reading it properly."The nurse said rubbing the thing on my belly again.

The nurse looked up at the doctor and shook her head and walked out of the room.

"What's going on?"I asked. "Can you not tell the gender yet?"I asked. "Courtney and Nick I'm so sorry to tell you this but you've had a miscarriage."The doctor said.

"What?"I asked sitting up. "The baby didn't make it."The doctor replied rubbing the gel off my belly.

I looked at Nick and started bawling my eyes out. "No this can't be!"I screamed. "You're wrong!"I said. "We were supposed to find out the gender today and have a big party!"I said.

"I'm very sorry."The doctor said. I looked at Nick and said "No this can't be happening. It's just a dream!"I said crying even more. Nick had tears coming down his face and said "It's time to go Courtney."

I shook my head no and started hyperventilating. "Breathe Courtney."Nick said calming me down.

I walked out of the room and went outside to the car. Nick ran after me and opened the car door for me to get in. I got in and slammed the door. Nick got in the drivers seat and banged on the horn and broke down.

I couldn't even processed what just happened. I can't do this.
