Confused//Nick Bean

Chapter 27

This can't be happening I kept telling myself as we were sitting in the waiting room.

"Edwin's mom is on her way."Rudan said sitting down. I nodded and Nick came over and hugged me.

"Are you guys here for Edwin?"A nurse said coming out of the room. "Yes."We all said standing up. "Edwin is stable right now and recovering. If everything goes right he will be just fine."She said.

"Thank you so much."I said tearing up. "When can we see him?"Nick asked. "You can see him now. But only for a few minutes and then our visiting hours are up."She said.

"Can I go first?"I asked. The boys all nodded. I walked in and the sight of Edwin was horrible. He had all wires coming out of him and he looked really pale.

"Why Edwin?"I said sitting down beside him and holding his hand. I started crying and then I heard Edwin's voice. "Edwin?!"I said standing up. "Courtney."He said smiling.

"Are you okay?"I asked. "I've been better I guess."He said laughing. "Edwin stop.Why would you do this?"I asked. "Do what?"He asked. "Try to kill yourself."I said.

"What? I didn't try to kill myself!"He replied. "What do you mean? The doctors said they found a lot of traces of drugs in your system!"I said. "What?"He asked shocked.

"I didn't try to kill myself. Ally must have drugged my drink somehow last night."Edwin said crying.

"What?? We have to tell the police."I said shaking. "No we can't."Edwin replied. "Why not?"I asked. "Ally is really dangerous."Edwin said.

"When she made me do that stuff to you and Nick she said if I didn't listen and go along with her she would hurt my family."Edwin said. "What?"I said breaking down.

"I'm sorry."Edwin said. I shook my head no and said "I need some time." And then walked out of the room.
