Chapter 28
Sophie's P.O.V.
The Doctor: River.
She was stood by the door with a very angry look on her face. The Doctor and I just stood there without knowing what to do. She finally discovered. She finally discovered that the Doctor and I are together.
River: Are you going to explain me what's going on, Doctor?
The Doctor: I-I... W-We... Uhm...
Sophie: Doctor, just tell her. There's no point on lying now. - I whispered and he nodded.
The Doctor: River... Sophie and I... We're together.
River: I knew it. I knew something was going on between you two. I always knew it... And now you're going to end it.
Sophie: What?
River: You heard me. I love him! He's my husband! And you're not going to steal him from me!
Sophie: Well, It's too late now, River. We're not going to end anything. - I said and suddenly she pulled our a gun and aimed at me while Amy gasped and the Doctor put himself in front of me.
River: Oh, I think you will.
The Doctor: River, put that gun down. Now! It's not her fault!
River: Oh, so now you're defending her? You should be defending me! I'm your wife! - she yelled at him.
The Doctor: But she's my soulmate!! - he yelled back and everything fell in a long silence.
River: Soulmate?? But that's impossible! She can't be a Time Lady! You are the last of them!
Sophie: Not anymore. - I said and he smiled to me.
The Doctor: And a soulmate bound is unbreakable. I'm sorry, River. I love you. But I can't live without Sophie. - he said and I smiled fondly at him. River aimed her gun this time to the Doctor and I gasped.
River: If I can't have you, no one else can. - she said with tears in her eyes and shot.
Sophie: No!!! - I quickly pushed the Doctor aside and got shot in his place.
The Doctor: Sophie!!! - he knelt next to me and looked to River who was now gone. Amy knelt next to me too.
Sophie: God, this hurted... - I muttered - Don't worry guys. I'll just regenerate. - before I could say anything more my hands glowed with regeneration energy and then I began to regenerate.
When I was totally cured I let the regenerate energy escape through my hands and into the TARDIS like the last time. But, unlike the last time, after I regenerated I fainted in someone's arms that soon took me to somewhere else.
***An hour later***
As I began to wake up, I felt that I was in a comfy bed with someone playing with my hair. I slowly opened my eyes and saw the Doctor's beautiful green eyes staring worriedly at me.
The Doctor: Are you ok Sophie? - I slowly nodded.
Sophie: Yeah... What happened?
The Doctor: You regenerated just like the last time. And then you fainted. I don't know why. - he said and I nodded as I rested my head on his lap.
Sophie: So... River knows...
The Doctor: Yeah...
Sophie: And she almost shot you.
The Doctor: Yeah... - he said as he sighed. Suddenly it hit me.
Sophie: Doctor! Do you remember what I said back at the Sybil Temple?? - I said as I quickly sat up - I said 'Doctor, she'll discover.'! What if I was talking about River finding out about us!
The Doctor: Sophie, that's just a coincidence!
Sophie: Really? And what about what I said about Amy?? I said she was going to loose something very important for her! And she did! She lost Rory!
The Doctor: That's just another coincindence!
Sophie: No It's not! And I know it!!
The Doctor: Then why did you said something about Rory if he's dead??
Sophie: Maybe because he's still alive. - I said in a whisper.
The Doctor: No, he's not alive and you know it! You saw what happened! He's dead! And you know it! - he said and we stared at each other for a long silence. Then he calmed down a little.
Sophie: Of course I know he is dead. He was one of my best friends... - I said with tears in my eyes and he kissed my forehead and hugged me as I sobbed to his chest.
We stayed like this for long minutes. I'm missing Rory. He was so funny and nice. And I know Amy loved him a lot. It's so horrible that she doesn't remember him... I just wish I could tell her... But the Doctor doesn't let me tell her. What can I do? I know she's sad about him, deep inside. Even Vincent noticed. What can I do... What can I do?? There must be something... Well, we could try a trip or something like that.
Sophie: Doctor?
The Doctor: Yes?
Sophie: I've noticed Amy's sadness sometimes... So can we have a little trip now?? - I asked and he smiled.
The Doctor: Absolutelly.
We got out of my room and the Doctor walked to the console room while I got Amy. After I got her, we ran back to the console room.
The Doctor: Ok, where to?
Sophie: Let's do things in a diferent way today. Put the TARDIS is random! - I said excited and he nodded.
Let's see where we're going to land now.
