Chapter 15

A week has passed and I'm still thinking about what I said back in the Sybil Temple. The Doctor has been trying to make me forget it but... I just can't take it out of my mind...

I walked to the controls room with sleepy eyes and with my hair all messed. The Doctor came and kissed my forehead.

          The Doctor: Good morning... Well good not so good morning. - I smiled.

          Sophie: Good not so good morning... I didn't sleep well last night...

          The Doctor: Don't worry. I have something that will wake you up.

          Sophie: What? What is it?

          The Doctor: It's a surprise. Go get dressed and I'll take you there. - I happily nodded.

I ran back to my room and picked a nice yellow dress from my wardrobe, then I ran back to the controls room when I was ready.

          The Doctor: Wow, you were quick.

          Sophie: I know. I can't wait. How do I look? - I made a pose and he laughed.

          The Doctor: Lovely as always. - he kissed me passionately on the lips and then opened the TARDIS's doors for me.

I ran outside and looked around. It was a big grassy field with a lake in the middle. It's so beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. The Doctor wrapped his arms around me.

          The Doctor: What do you think?

          Sophie: It's... I don't even have words to describe it! - I looked in his eyes - Doctor this is amazing. Thank you.

          The Doctor: Everything for my little Soph. - he pecked my lips - Come on let's go. It's picnic time! - he got inside the TARDIS and came outside with a picnic chest.

          Sophie: We're going to have a picnic?? - I said happily as I giggled.

          The Doctor: Yes. The best picnic ever. - he gave me his hand and I held it tight as he took me to the middle of the field.

We took the things of the the picnic chest: a towell, sandwiches, pies, juices, fruit, cake, and more and more food. Once we were ready we sat and began to eat.

          The Doctor: Ok, what do you want to eat first? - I made a funny thinking look.

          Sophie: Hmm... let me see... I think I want... maybe a piece of that chocolate cake. - it looks pretty delicious.

          The Doctor: As you wish. - he cut a piece of cake, then he took a little of cake with a fork and gave me. I didn't know he was so romantic. - How is it?

          Sophie: Delicious! Even more than that! Like this place, I don't have words to describe it!

We continued our romantic picnic. The Doctor was SO romantic. I am so lucky. During the picnic we ate, talked, talked and talked. There was never one of those awkwards silences. We always had anything to talk about.
