We ended up going to the clearing. Out of all the years I've been coming here I never thought about coming at night when it was dark and all the millions of stars were visible.

I gasped as I got out the car. It was so beautiful I didn't know how to describe it. All the stars glittered brightly and the trees had a beautiful eery glow to them. This was way better than a sunset.

"Did you know out of all the years I've been coming here to watch the sunsets I've never thought about star gazing here. How ironic right? You think one thing is so beautiful and great that you forget about all the possibilities of something being better." I laughed at the irony. I felt a little stupid for not thinking about coming here at night. I heard Luke laugh a little beside me.

"This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." I said still looking at the sky.

"I think its the second most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The first would by far be you." Luke said. I could tell he was smiling brightly even though I couldn't really make out his face in the dark.

"Such a sweet talker." I laughed looking back at the stars.

"I don't know how to say this, but I need to." Luke said running his hand through his hair. I looked over at him and grabbed his hand before looking at the view again. I gave it a small motivational squeeze.

"Just say it." I laughed. I heard him chuckle beside me before he went on to say it.

"I know this seems quick because hell we just met yesterday, but Romeo and Juliet fell in love in only a few days and they had an epic love story. I've never felt more connected to someone than I do to you. I really like you Emily and I understand if you think we're moving kinda fast but nothing would make me happier than being able to call you my girlfriend." Luke said standing beside me. I looked straight ahead as I weighed the pros and con's of this. I could feel his eyes staring at me. The sound of crickets filled the silence.

"Life's too short to not go for what you really want." I said turning to face Luke. I smiled as I saw his teeth shine through the darkness meaning he's smiling too.

"Is that a yes?" He asked for reassurance. I smiled even bigger before responding.

"No that's not a yes, that would be a hell yeah." I laughed. A second later his lips were on mine. I would never get tired of kissing this boy. Each kiss was just as great as the first.

Maybe I was moving too fast. 3 days ago I would of sworn Josh was the love of my life and now I had a new boyfriend.

I always had a small feeling in my gut that Josh was trash. He just confirmed my suspicions.

Who cared if I was moving a little fast. It was time for me to be happy. If Luke made me happy I deserved that. I deserved to be cherished and cared for. I've always been neglected and now was my time to really be loved.

I kissed him hard and with as much passion as I could muster. I really liked Luke and I wanted this. I wanted us. So screw what anyone else thinks. I found myself smiling halfway through the kiss, I was beyond happy.

As I kissed Luke one thought kept running through my mind, maybe life didn't suck so much after all.

I woke up Monday morning to the annoying buzz of my alarm clock.

Sunday was kinda a blur. I spent the day with Luke and Maggie. We played board games and watched movies. It was nice to just chill and get to know both of them better.

I unwilling pulled myself out of bed and went to my bathroom to get ready for school. I told Luke I'd go to school early with him and show him around, I was really hoping we had a lot of classes together. I was also kind of afraid of what peoples' reactions would be to know I had moved on from Josh so quickly.

I dried my hair after my shower and straightened the brown locks to the middle of my back. I applied my daily makeup, simple cover up, mascara, and eyeliner sharp enough to kill. I decided to wear a kick ass outfit today that consisted of my light blue ripped jeans, combat boots, white shirt topped off with my black leather jacket.

I grabbed my bookbag keys and phone and went downstairs to get some breakfast.

Luke texted that he was leaving out soon so I just ate a bagle with a simple cup of coffee.

As I waited for Luke I texted Amber that I was sorry for not getting back to her this weekend and that we would talk at school today. The thought of talking to Amber made me nervous. What if she was tired of pretending to be my friend? Well I always had Luke. I smiled as I remembered him saying that Saturday night.

Luke texted me he was in the driveway so I grabbed my stuff and left.

I still always felt a pang of sadness every morning when I didn't see my parents before I left but it was the usual so I just excepted it and moved on.

I slid into the passengers seat as Luke pulled out the driveway.

"Hey babe, you look really hot today." He said sending me a smile. Just hearing his voice made me feel better.

"Thanks, you don't look too bad either." I smiled back. I took a moment to admire his outfit. He wore a button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and dark jeans. He was so cute dressing up for his first day of school.

"Ready for your first day!" I said overly excited.

"I hope we have like every class together, that would be awesome! Anyway its really just your typical ratchet high school, nothing fancy so don't expect to not witness a fight today or someone basically having sex in the middle of the hallway." I said with a laugh. Luke laughed with me.

"Wow you're just making me so happy to go to school here!" Luke said sarcastically. I just laughed.

Soon we pulled into the parking lot and began to walk towards the school. It was pretty empty since we got here early so I got minimal weird looks.

I took Luke to the office where he got his schedule, ID and locker information. Once we left the office I basically snatched his schedule out of his hands.

"Ooh we have history, math, lunch, and study hall together!" I said with a wide smile splitting my face.

"Great now I won't feel awkward in every class, just half of them!" He laughed. I smiled up at him.

"At least people wont be giving you looks of pity the whole day." I said with a small smile.

"Well that's true." Luke laughed.

"Luke you're supposed to say 'no one will pity you Emily it'll all be okay'." I said mimicking his voice. He just laughed at my bad impression so I playfully punched him in the arm.

"Come on let's go find your locker." I laughed leading Luke down the empty hallway.
