"I can't decide between a taco or a cheese burger." I said tapping my finger against my chin. Luke chuckled at me as he scanned his menu.

It had been 2 weeks since Luke left the hospital and saying they have been the greatest two weeks of my life would be a major understatement. Luke and I have been basically inseparable and its been incredible.

Its no secret I'm falling more and more in love with him everyday. I'm actually starting to picture us having a future together and its scary but amazing at the same time.

"Hey are you listening." Luke laughed as I felt a bread crumb come in contact with my nose. I crinkled my nose up and smiled at him. I hadn't even noticed he started talking to me.

"I'm sorry." I laughed stealing one of his fries.

"I was talking about what we should do after we eat. I'm thinking a nice walk on the beach and ice cream." He said taking a hold of my hand.

"I don't know. I kinda feel like kicking your ass at bumper cars." I said brushing a stray hair behind my ear. Luke's laugh boomed through the small diner. I couldn't help but smile, I loved hearing him laugh.

"Okay challenge accepted." Luke said trying to be serious. I started to laugh at him but was cut off by my phone ringing. I answered without even checking my caller ID.

"Hello?" I asked with a huge smile on my face.

"Emily where have you been!? Your father and I just got home and you aren't here. The calendar dates haven't been updated, where are you?" My mom asked in a concerned voice. My smile fell off my face. I knew this happiness was too good to be true.

"Um I've just been staying with friends, I hate having to be alone so much you know, so I've just been around. I'm fine though really don't worry." I lied. Luke gave me a curious look as he mouthed 'who's on the phone'. I mouthed back 'my mom' and he nodded in understanding. I tuned my mom out as she  rambled on and on about something. I cut her off when I saw the waiter coming back.

"You know mom that's all really interesting but I've gotta go so I'll see you later tonight okay? Bye I love you!" I rushed out before I hung up quickly. I rolled my eyes as I sat my phone down.

"My parents just got back and wanted to know what I've been up to so I lied. I didn't mean to say I'd come home tonight I'm sorry I know we just made plans but she'd just keep calling." I explained quietly as the waiter approached us.

"Its fine really I understand. My moms been bugging me to come back home soon too." He said with a knowing smile.

"Hey guys my names Theo and I'll be your waiter tonight. What can I get you guys." He asked in a rehearsed tone.

"I'll take the tacos and she'll have 2 cheese burgers. We'll both have a strawberry lemonade but she'll have a strawberry on the side and 2 spoons of sugar." Luke said ordering for us.

We had gone out so many times it was pretty much the norm for him to order.

"Alright I'll go put your order in and be back shortly with your drinks." He said before taking our menus and leaving.

"Wow you read my mind with that taco and hambugers." I said with a small laugh.

"I figured since you couldn't choose we could share and get some of both." He said smiling brightly.

"This is why I love you." I said leaning over the table and kissing him quickly. Luke looked sad when I pulled back and sat down.

"You are a tease." He said sticking out his bottom lip. I laughed at his puppy impersonation.
