I must be imagining things. The whole room was silent. If Ryder had really just said that Luke would of had some kind of reaction. I think punching him in the face would be suitable, I'd even settle for a simple 'no', anything but this heart breaking silence.

"Now I know this is a lot man but we need her, she just needs to be our get away driver. The way we're so out numbered and knowing how important time is its crucial we have a driver. Its too late to get anyone else and we need all 5 of us to be in there." Bryce explained. My heart stopped racing a little. This was better, as long as I didn't have to go in, I was too inexperienced for that.

"Absolutely not." Luke said in a stern voice. I peaked around the corner to see him glaring at Ryder. His arms were crossed and he was grinding his jaw.

"Well let's see what Emily thinks, its really her approval we need not his." Landon said. Luke growled before launching himself across the coffee table and tackling Landon.

"Luke stop!" I yelled. All eyes snapped in my direction and I slapped a hand over my mouth. So much for not interrupting. Luke quickly looked away from me and threw a punch into Landon's jaw. I loud crack rang through the room.

Ryder jumped into action and pulled Luke away from Landon. I slowly stepped from around the corner and watched Luke struggle to get out of Ryder's grasp. Eventually he calmed down enough for Ryder to release him. Luke quickly stormed out of the cabin.

After Luke slammed the door everyone turned their attention back to me. Bryce cleared his throat.

"So how long were you listening?" Ryder asked.

"Long enough." I said looking down at my shoes. I hated all this attention I was getting.

"So you know what we need you to do?" Peter asked. I twirled my hair around my finger.

"I don't know if I can." I said quietly, my eyes still trained on the floor.

"I really do want to help but that's a lot of pressure. I don't know if I can handle being the escape route. Like what if the car doesn't start or I freeze and we get caught. I don't want to ruin this for you guys." I said finally looking up and looking around the room at them.

"I know its a big responsibility and a lot to ask but if you don't do this there's a big chance we'll get caught and all of this will be nothing. Trust me when I say you're our best chance." Bryce said. I ran a hand through my hair. This was insane.

"I can't make any promises right now but I will think about it okay? I need to go talk to Luke." I said as I jogged out of the cabin.

Stepping outside was so relieving it was a breath of fresh air. It was so stuffy in that room and now I felt like I could finally think clearly again. I almost felt pressured to agree.

I looked around and didn't see Luke. I knew the cabin was located near a lake so I headed towards it. I walked through a thin forest, I was able to make out the glimmer of the water through the trees.

"Luke!" I called out as I walked. I didn't get a response so I kept walking. Eventually the trees stopped and I was left on the river bank. It was an amazing view, nothing compared to the cliff but it was certainly beautiful.

I just stood there admiring the water for a while.

"What are you doing?" I heard a voice ask behind me. I whipped around to face Luke. He had a straight face and looked pissed.

"I was searching for you and figured you'd be down here." I said walking closer to him. He turned his attention to the water instead of to me.

"What is up with you?" I asked. I grabbed his hand. He looked at me for a brief second before looking away again.

"Is it something I did?" I asked. Was he giving me the silent treatment or something? He slipped his hand out of mine and crossed his arms across his chest. I rolled my eyes. What was going on with him?

"Are you ignoring me?" I asked. He continued to stare out at the water. I scoffed. Of course he was acting like a three year old, even though I just did this yesterday.

"You're acting like I volunteered to go be the get away driver. I didn't even say I would do it!" I yelled at him. I was getting a little pissed off. I did nothing to deserve this treatment.

"You didn't fucking say no!" He yelled back.

"You could of said absolutely not right away but you didn't, which means you are thinking about it. You can't do this. I won't be able to focus on what I need to do because I'd constantly be worried about you." He said lowering his voice a little. I was still fuming at him but I kind of understood it. That didn't change the fact I wanted to help.

If I didn't help it would put them in more danger and thats the last thing I wanted. Now I knew what I had to do. I reached up and slapped Luke across the face before I kissed him.

"You're an ass." I laughed. Luke gave me a small smile.

"If it makes you feel any better I won't go. I'll be worrying about you like crazy but I won't go." I said to him. I still had my arms slung around his neck. He full on smiled down at me.

"I really appreciate that, I know you want to help but knowing that you're safe will help me." He said kissing me lightly on the lips. I nodded my head before stepping away from him.

"You wanna go back with me?" I said gesturing to the cabin. Luke shook his head.

"Nah I'm gonna hang here for a little longer. I want to make sure I don't strangle anyone as soon as I walk through the door." He chuckled. I nodded my head before I turned to walk back.

"See you inside." I called over my shoulder. Luke mumbled bye back at me as I walked on. As soon as I was out of his sight I sprinted to the cabin. I had a plan. I needed to talk to the guys about before Luke came back. I didn't know how much time I would have so I had to move fast.

"Woah woah woah slow down. You want to hide from Luke in our trunk so that he can focus on the mission and think you're safe and at the same time you can help us and be our get away driver?" Ryder asked for confirmation. I nodded my head as I checked the front window again for Luke.

"What are you looking for?" Peter asked checking the window too.

"I don't want Luke to find out because he will be pissed and it would ruin the whole idea of Luke being able to focus on the mission." I explained as I checked again.

"So no one will tell him any of this!" I said glaring at the 4 of them. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"So it's settled then?" Landon asked. I nodded my head.

"We'll make some kind of distraction so I can get in the car and then I'll be there when you guys finish." I said.

"Thanks for doing this." Ryder said scratching the back of his neck. I smiled, this was the first time Ryder said something nice to me.

"Anytime." I said. Suddenly the front door opened and Luke walked in. Everyone fell quiet as he sat on the couch next to me.

"I'm obviously the elephant in the room so I'm just gonna say it, I'm sorry for acting out like that and I understand why you suggested it but Em doest want to so we'll figure something else out." He said wrapping his arm around me. I smiled as I looked at the other guys. I hated keeping him in the dark but it was for his own good. I was extremely nervous about doing this and all I really wanted to do was rant to Luke about it but I couldn't. All I could do was hope tonight would be a success.
