The car was silent for a while and all that could be heard was the sliding guns in the trunk and the gravel crunching under the car.

"So you guys ready to kick some ass!?" Landon said, obviously trying to fill the silence. It wasn't really an awkward silence more of a "we could all die so let's reflect" type of silence.

"I'm ready!" Bryce said answering Landon, he was the only one to respond. The car quickly fell silent again.

"Does anyone have anything they want to say? This silence is killing me." Landon admitted. There was no response for a while before Ryder spoke.

"Luke what do you really think of Emily. Do you actually love her?" He asked. What the hell was he trying to do, he knew I was back here.

"Why wouldn't I, she's great. She's smart and pretty and genuinely cares about people. She's understanding about the gang and always wants to help. She's everything I could of ever wished for in a partner." He said honestly. The car was silent and I was quietly shrieking in my head. He was so sweet I didn't know what to do. All I really wanted was to crawl over these seats and kiss him but that would ruin everything.

"Well that's a good scripted answer but what do you not like about her." Ryder instigated. I rolled my eyes, could he stop already?

"That wasn't scripted, maybe a little cliche but thats honestly how I feel." He said. I could of fist pumped.

"So she never annoys you, you never dislike her?" He asked. I really wanted to know what all these questions were leading to.

"Well yeah every relationship has fights, we can't agree on everything but I trust her and she's a good person. I know in the end she's always gonna do what will help someone else and that's what I love about her." He said simply. He was so perfect I couldn't handle it.

"Okay let's use our brains here, you said she's always going to do what will help the most people right?" Ryder asked to clarify. Oh no. I really hope he wasn't about to blow my cover.

"Yeah.." Luke said still not connecting the dots.

"Ryder that's enough." Bryce cut in. Thank you! Geez at least someone else caught on to what he was doing.

"You shut the hell up and get out of my conversation." Ryder spat.

"Don't do anything stupid." Landon said. I did not like where this was going. Ryder chuckled darkly.

"You think I'm the one being stupid!?" He continued to laugh.

"Okay what is going on?" Luke asked, he was still super confused. I was biting my lip. This was getting out of control.

"You said she'll always do what will help the most people." Ryder continued. If he told him I was back here he would be crushed and really unfocused. Someone needed to stop him.

"I'm not getting where this is going." Luke sighed. Ryder laughed again.

"I'm not gonna connect the dots for you I'll just plant the seeds." He said before the car went silent again. I wanted to bang my head on a brick wall. Luke was a lot of things but stupid wasn't one of them. He was also very determined. He was gonna figure this out and probably really soon.

I hated Ryder for this. He was definitely still pissed about earlier but I didn't care anymore it was an honest misunderstanding and if he couldn't except that that wasn't my problem.

"So everyone remembers their part right because we're gonna be there really soon." Peter said as the car slowed down a little. No one responded so I assumed everyone nodded their heads.
