We sat quietly deep into the forest,hearing screaming from over 1mile away something was going on, I sensed Hikari felt it too. She was dragging her feet through the dirt making a pattern of something.
"You know, I think we should keep going towards the sun, if we do We might make it to Scaleswind via Brightport we might make it there by sun down." Hikari informed me.
I nodded, "sounds good."
We got up and packed our belongings into backpacks. I used the backpack that my clothes were in and Hikari used one she most probably stole or made. We started our trek towards the sun, talking about the most oblivious things.
"If you give a dog a couple of bones, he will love you before you finish them! It's so weird!" I looked at Hikari, she was laughing so hard after she had told me that.
I laughed,"Well did you know that I-" I was cut off by the sound of sobbing.I checked Hikari making sure it wasn't her, I was right. It wasn't, but who was it then!
"What is that?" Hikari whispered she looked around.
"Crying I think," I replied whispering glancing from tree to tree.
We continued walking except cautiously and quietly. Then sitting on a tree stump was a girl, she had black hair that fell down her shoulders, she wore a striped shirt with a little red neck tie, with knee high boots and black tights and She had much darker skin than Hikari and I. Hikari gave me a glance and I shot one back. We weren't sure what to do, at least I thought we weren't Hikari walked out behind the trees.
"Are you okay?" Hikari asked the girl.
The girl nodded, "Yes I'm fine thank you." Looking up at us she became wide eyed she grabbed out a sword and held it up protectingly. "Who are you? Don't hurt me! Leave! What do you want!" She spluttered out a couple of sentences she was afraid of us, not exactly a great sign of friendship but who cared.
Hikari stood there stunned same as me, but since she was first to answer I let her continue. "Uhh, I'm Hikari this is my, uhh accomplice," I shot her a angry glare which was replied with an apologetic one. I was fuming, ACCOMPLICE THATS ALL I WAS NOW! FINE I GET IT! That thought flew through my mind. She continued gulping," My friend I mean... Auria, We don't wish to harm you we were just passing through Brightport and heading to Scaleswind." Her face lit up completely at the mention of Scaleswind.
"Scaleswind? Oooo can I come?!?" She asked us excitedly.
We nodded, she was our age and she seemed nice. I didn't even feel a bit of Shadow Knight in her, she hopped up picking up a saddle bag and we kept on our quest to Scaleswind!
