When I get to chapter 30 I'm gonna fan girl okay? DONT JUDGE ME!!! I SEE YOU JUDGING ME!!! FROM BEHIND THE SCREEN. Oh and Happy birthday to silversnowflake001 ! Happy BIRTHDAY!! Let's start this chapter how about? ----- "Can I help?" Aaron asked us as I watched Laurence weakly stab a nail in our attempt of a house. I turned to him taking the hammer from Laurence and nodded, my ponytail fell out.
I was helping Travis and Laurence in building houses for our new settlement on what I liked to call, 'The Isle Of Irene' . Travis and Laurence looked dumbfounded, it was like they never had heard him talk before. Drawing back the hammer I slammed in down hard onto the nail. The nail slid smoothly in, but the structure fell down wooden planks and stones flying everywhere. I scrambled to get out of the way and landed on Aaron. "Please help" I muttered to him my cheeks burning red from embarrassment.
I backed off him and dusted myself off standing up and tying my hair back into a loose ponytail with a bit of looped fabric. "Now then, let's begin" Aaron announced. After a few hours we had finished one home, Laurence and Travis still refusing to put shirts on and Aaron taking his off. Laurence had squealed and I turned to see him clutching his fingers. I sighed and walked up to him.
"What did you do to yourself this time?" I laughed at Laurence, his eyes welling up.
"I-I-I h-h-hammered my f-f-finger!" He was on the ground clutching his pinkie in his right hand.
I gave him a very unsympathetic pat on the back then asked, "Would you like me to be the cliche nice sister, or the sarcastic one?" He glared at me in pain.
"Isn't it obvious?" He muttered.
I rolled my eyes and leant beside him and in my sweetest voice possible said, 'Naw you poor thing go and get Lucinda to look at you!" He got up glared at me once last time then went to find Lucinda. I scoffed and got back to work. ~~~~~ After a few hours we had built two houses, an animal pen and the start of a barn. Aphmau came over and gazed up. "I Thought you were struggling!" She gasped looking around at the houses.
"Aaron came and helped us, I have to say he's an excellent builder." I replied smiling at her.
"That amazing!" She stopped and turned around for a minute and turned back to me, "Auria I don't believe you have met, Yip or Zoey." Yip! An Elven girl and Yip strode up behind her.
"Oh hey Auria! Long time no see! Glad to see you are wearing clothing!" Yip laughed as he came up to me smiling.
"Hey Yip!" I smiled at him trying not to remember our first meeting.
"Oh so you have met? That's fine meet Zoey" Aphmau stood back as the Elven girl came up to me.
She had a sweet voice, "Hi I'm Zoey! A Yggdrasil elf, Nice to meet you, it's Auria right?" I nodded. She was quite pretty, with her cream hair and dress that was almost made out of leaves, quite nature themed compared to Yip, Aphmau and I. I had changed because my clothes got a little ruined as I chased after Chad. So now I wore a purple singlet tucked into some back shorts, I had my hair tied back in a ponytail with some boots on. I smiled at Zoey and she smiled a sweet smile back. Yip tapped me on the back and I turned to face him.
"What?" I asked him my smile fading back to its usual face.
"Let's gooooo" he whined pulling at my singlet impatiently.
Aphmau smiled, "This is perfect, you show Yip around and I'll show Zoey!" I nodded then paused for a moment.
"Aphmau, where are Hikari and I sleeping?"
"In with the guards... At least I hoped you would..." She murmured.
"Of course! I was hoping I could sleep closer to Laurence!" Smiled and walked off with Yip.
I'd shown him the village and everything in it, most of the time he just smiled and nodded. But now we were standing facing each other in an awkward silence.
"Umm do you know how to fight?" I asked him quietly.
"As a werewolf yes..." He replied just as quietly.
"Do you want to fight me?"
"Sure!" He exclaimed. And I chased him into the forest. My legs brushed through the grass and I swung off every tree we passed, laughing as I attempted to catch the speedy wolf. I was close, about 3 feet off him I leaped into the air and landed on him dragging him into a hug as he struggled to get away.
"You're it!" I exclaimed letting go of him and running off. He was catching up his paws scraping the dirt from just behind my foot.
"No!" I laughed as he appeared from behind a tree and growled.
"Got you!" He walked up to me and brushed up against me like a cat.
"Mongrel stop brushing up against me will you? YOUR A DOG FOR IRENES SAKE" I yelled at him sarcastically.
"Shut up fairy!" He threw a terrible insult back at me with a snarl on his snout. But you could see a slight smile forming as he was beginning to become a human again.
"Do you know the way back? The sun's going down." He asked pointing out that the sun was actually going down. You could just see the pink clouds and the warm orangey blue sky from the jungle of branches that surrounded you when you looked up. I shook my head, we had run to far out into the forest and had no hope of getting back in the dark, with or without directions.
"Why don't we just camp here for tonight?" I suggested, it wasn't difficult for me to camp. I had done it many times with Hikari and that girl. It still bothered me that I hadn't seen that girl in so long.
"Sure, I haven't camped in a long time." He didn't smile, "We don't have anything to sleep under though..." I slumped onto the ground and tears began to pour out my eyes. He was right... Now I had dragged him into a forest and told him to camp with absolutely nothing, I am such a horrible friend. "No need to cry now," I felt his arm sling around my shoulder, "let's just sleep in the trees" I nodded wiping my tears and forcing a smiled which made me feel about 10% better about everything. I didn't mind though, it was a start. He helped me clamber into the tree then he climbed up behind me and a few seconds later he popped up and sat on a branch looking at the stars.
------ Damn committing yourself to writing on Wattpad sucks... JK it's great specially when you don't get to go at your own pace. Well if Aphmau didn't post this book would have probably like 3 chapters... XD So I'll try and get each chapter out in the time of around a fortnight. You guys are amazing and I promise that I'll try to post! Just keep in mind I have a life and stuff! So Ya baii! -Waxy is leaving this room *door slams* 1243 words
